Guest guest
What is your daughter eating? What does she want to eat? Jody mom to -6 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
Hi, On SCD, I'm serving her chicken soup, made with onion, celery, chicken, carrots. I took out the onion and celery at the end of cooking. Then I puree the carrots and chicken with some broth and serve it to her. Before SCD, she was eating similar soup but with rice in it. E.g. chicken, carrot, spinach, brocolli and rice made into soup. I think she misses the rice. > > What is your daughter eating? > > What does she want to eat? > > > Jody > mom to -6 and -9 > SCD 1/03 >
Guest guest
, Is the soup all she's eating? If so, she's not getting adequate carb intake. The rice in her previous soup mix provided a lot of carbs. Jody mom to -6 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
Jody, But doesn't the intro diet consists only of the chicken soup and beef patty/fish? > > , > > Is the soup all she's eating? > > If so, she's not getting adequate carb intake. > The rice in her previous soup mix provided a lot of carbs. > > > Jody > mom to -6 and -9 > SCD 1/03 >

Guest guest
, Check out this page of pecanbread.com. http://www.pecanbread.com/foodprep.html and click on the Intro Diet link There are other things that she can have. Plus, the intro diet should last just 2-5 days, usually only 2-3 unless the D. is severe. Jody mom to -6 and -9 SCD 1/

Guest guest
Thanks for the link. I have read that but still thinks the intro diet contains of chicken, carrot soup and eggs. That's what my girl is eating. I didn't give her gelatin because we generally don't eat dessert. I don't see any carb in the list. After intro diet, aren't we suppose to introduce food slowly? So for 3 days after intro, she's eating the soup with spinach added and eggs. Still no carbs. Am I misinterpretting? > > , > > Check out this page of pecanbread.com. > http://www.pecanbread.com/foodprep.html > > and click on the Intro Diet link > > There are other things that she can have. Guest guest
, The gelatin is made from juice. The carbs come from juice on the intro diet. Apple cider or grape juice, watered down 50/50. After the intro diet, foods like applesauce, pearsauce, ripe bananas, and squash provide carbs. Jody mom to -6 and -9 SCD 1/
Guest guest
Thank you Jody! I'll be introducing apple sauce and banana very soon. > > , > > The gelatin is made from juice.
