Somewhat OT--Quick reminder of buyer beware when shopping on the Internet

Since so many of us buy products on the Net, I just wanted to post that recently

I received a fraudulent product--packaged under the same name of a product I

have bought before. but inside was clearly a different product. I contacted the

manufacturer, which is when I found out that indeed someone is using their name

and similar packaging/design and selling a different product under their name.

My credit card company is going to take a report but not willing to guarantee a

refund, nor or the company that I bought it from. They (the Internet company I

bought it from) hung up on me when I called. Hopefully I will get the refund

from the credit card company with a bit of perseverence...So point being that

maybe one has to be a bit more careful in choosing the companies we purchase

from on the Net. This is the first time I have had an experience like this, but

just something to possibly keep in mind if buying from random companies on the

Net, which is what I had done.
