Basically, to speed up recovery if he is still having somewhat loose stool you could " back up " to more basic easier to digest food (perhaps even the intro diet*) and then re-add foods. This may speed up his recovery time. It is what I did with my son. He was eating everything on the diet but continued to have loose stools. I removed raisins , raw fruit and raw veggie and went to cooked veggies and cooked peeled fruit and he had trophies shortly thereafter. *Here is a link for the intro diet: http://pecanbread.com/foodprep.html#intro > Does anyone know if there would be any reason to back up and do the > introductory protocol? Many thanks to all you pioneers. Glad to have you " on-board " ! Sheila, SCD 57 mos, 21 yrs UC mom of , SCD 42 mos

It is wise to start with the intro diet: http://www.pecanbread.com/foodprep.html#intro You can then introduce additional foods gradually in small amounts or use the non mandatory guidelines called " The Stages " which follows below on the same web link. On the autism version of the diet, dairy is introduced later. Implement a dairy-free SCD™ for at least several weeks prior to the introduction of the homemade goat yogurt. Carol F.
