Guest guest
Hi , Aha, Green Tea, One of my favorites. Green tea does have a little caffeine, about 1/3 that of coffee. Green tea has a lot of antioxidants which some think is very good for general health. Not many have allergic reactions to green tea but some might react to real hot tea, maybe try it brewed as iced teas or even a room temperature drink. Adding anything to the tea? Like Equal or Sweet-n-low? maybe a reaction to that. Could it be just " general allergy season' on your part of the country. Even if you have never had an environmental allergy reaction before, they can develop. Any other chemical additions to your life, new shampoo, food, cleaning product??? keep hydrated and good luck Best wishes, Poncho - GA
Guest guest
- I usually drink about 20 oz of green tea at a time and don't seem to have any problem but either suggestion is a possiblity - you might try varying it (e.g., stop for a couple of days then drink 3 servings of 8 oz each for a couple of days and see what happens). I have not heard or seen anything to suggest that there is an " unsafe " amount but if there is I am sure someone else will jump in. TTFN, Green Tea Hello everyone. How are you doing? I have a brief question about green tea. I have been drinking 24oz per day but, at one time. It is about 3 tea bags. Is it safe to do this. I have noticed my tonsils have been getting bigger. I didn't know if this was cuz I am coming down with something or that I am having an allergic reaction. If anyone can respond with what is safe, what is not, I would be greatful. Thankyou,

Guest guest
Celestial Seasonings makes a totally decaf green tea. Lipton says that their green tea has 40 mg of caffeine per 8oz. Most teas will give you that info on the box. Donna Open RNY w/Gallbladder removal 10-1-99 St. Charity Hospital, Cleveland, OH Dr. Schreiber with a fantastic support program in place. Guest guest
Any brand is fine as long as the only ingredient is green tea leaves. Decaf green tea is not legal. I think some of the brands that are legal (please double check) are Yogi, Numi, Trader Joes brand, Whole Foods, Tazo China Green Tips. Tazo makes a lot of green tea blends, some of which are not legal.
