Dr. R decided upon that a few months ago. So scratch that off of your to do list. As far as the health club. I was worried about that too and I just enclosed a copy of my college activity card --they have a gym that I can use at the school. But I was looking around for deals and you might try a local housing complex that has a gym for its residents. There was one in my area that offered a 5 month deal for $60. Guest guest
JUDI, JUDI,JUDI, Don't worry. You no longer need the psych evaluation......Dr. R did away with that. Except in my case......I have treatment resistant depression......but I got approved. In my patient letter I told Dr. R that as soon as I'm able I will start walking on a regular basis, swimming and working out on my Bow-Flex. I told him I would not be joining a coed gym until I was at a reasonable weight. I did say if not joining one kept me from having the surgery then of course I would join sooner. Hope that helps....... Love, Genz CarlMuckerheide wrote: > Please help///////////////// > I'm reading the Pre Op Check List > It says we need a Pre Op Psychiatric Evaluation.... > ......is this above and beyond our Physical??????? > Also MUST we go out and BUY a Year Long HEALTH CLUB > MEMBERSHIP. Guest guest
Jackie, My daughter and son-in-law love it. It costs them $33 a month for the rest of their lives. Ha..Ha.. It is actually their machine but since they live upstairs in my house, I claim it. To be honest the pain in my knees keeps me from going upstairs very often....comorbidity??? Hummmmmm. I do intend to use it asap. My daughter really likes it because you can work on so many different areas and it's not too boring. Since you used to lift weights you would probably feel right at home on it. Like I said it's only $33 a month for the rest of your life. You'll need a real strong man to put it together though, the boxes were real heavy. Guest guest
Judi, I, too, do not have a membership. I just told them in my packet about the PT dept's lap pool and gym were I work and that I can join it. I outlined a program that I hope to follow.
