Several of my recipes call for lub soda and yes it's like a fizzy

drink. The bread recipe I got from pecanbread.com calls for club soda

if I recall but I've never cooked that one. But a few of my other ones

do.

Club soda is seltzer water. Sparkling mineral water like Perrier can be used for

home made

sodas. These waters contain salt.

You can do it that way. Locally, I buy cans or bottles of club soda

and mix them half soda and half juice.

This may be okay as long as it isn't sweetened.

The cans of club soda I buy are sodium free and I sometimes drink

them with just some ice or a little fresh squeezed lemon or lime

juice.
