Works miracles for decongesting. When my kids are sick, I also run a humidifier in their room, and there is a little cup divit in top I also pour a few drops of eucalyptus essential oil into. For sore throats: Make a steam inhalation with a few drops of lavender essential oil, a few drops of chamomile essential oil and 1 drop of Thyme. Also, I mix 3 drops of lemon essential oil, 1 drop of thyme essential oil, and 6 drops of chamomile essential oil in a teaspoon of extra virgin olive oil, then mix this into a small cup of peppermint tea. Helps with soreness. You can also mix it into some honey instead of extra virgin olive oil. Colds: Blend together in extra virgin olive oil a few drops of rosemary, 1 drop each of eucalyptus and geranium essential oil. Then, put one drop of mixture onto a tissue and have your child inhale it. Summer floortimemom tsmith77@...> wrote: My son has the beginnings of a cold and is coughing at night. What kinds of remedies if any, can you use on SCD and maintain the diet? Are any homeopathic remedies OK, or do you use over the counter things or nothing?
