Hi all,

I had my explant with Dr. Kolb on Thursday, along with a lift. The explant and

capsulectomy took 6.5 hours, then the lift took 2.5 more hours -- so a very long

day!

I'm doing ok, slow but good. The first few days were harder than I expected,

and being on the computer is making me dizzy -- but I wanted to post that it's

over! And I'm onward and upward to recover from this 13 year process.

Thank you for your prayers and good thoughts during this time, I'll post more

when I'm more up and about.

With relief and gratitude,

Alyssa

Congratulations on the surgery, I remember how scared I was going into the

explant surgery.. but I felt relief and like my old self just the next day!!

It's a great feeling to have nothing in your body that isn't supposed to be

there and 100% just YOU! Wish you a speedy recovery both physically and mentally

:)

Hi Alyssa,

Congratulations on your explant (I responded to your pre-surgery message a few

minutes ago!) Today is the first day of the rest of your life!! Just remember,

your body will heal in it's own time, so just take good care of yourself and be

patient.

Hey Alyssa,

Congratulations on getting that explant accomplished. Now you are on the way to

healing! Dr. Kolb is one of our heroines in this cause. I know she took good

care of you!

Onward and upward you go! You will be in our thoughts and prayers for a good

and quick recovery from everything you've been through. Keep us posted on your

progress, though it may take some months to see real progress. Hopefully it

will happen quickly for you!
