Guest guest
The only way you can determine if this jerking is a seizure is to have an EEG. All body jerks are not seizures as I found out when Kim was in the hospital recently. When she was having extreme GERD (acid reflux) to the antibiotics they were giving her for the pneumonia, she gagged, stiffined up and jerked like having a seizure. Yet, the EEG showed these episodes were not seizures. It was extreme GERD and the episodes stopped once we stopped the antibiotics. Her neurologists said newborns are often mistaken for having seizures when instead it was severe acid reflux. (Acid reflux will not show up on an EEG.) Marilyn Nystatin and possible seizure? > Hi guys, peyton woke up from his nap crying like he had > a tummy ache, he was belligerant and a little agressive > (pinching me, but I figured it was due to pain) I reluctantly > gave him some mylicon.
