Guest guest
Stacey, What are you wanting to sweeten? We generally use honey to sweeten on SCD, but it is possible to use fruit juice, depending on what you want to sweeten. Guest guest
Hi Stacey, > What can I use instead od Xylitol. It is the closest thing to sugar that I thought was " o.k. " > I am new to this and I need HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The sweeteners on the diet are pure honey and saccharine see http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/saccharine.ht m In medications, pharmacists may substitute and replace sucrose with either pure fructose or pure dextrose. In BTVC we are cautioned against using fructose or glucose syrup, or powdered or granulated fructose, glucose or dextrose. These are commercial preparations and may have more than what the labels claim (ie. mixed with other SCD illegal sugars).
