Guest guest
I also use squash to make 'pumpkin pie' without the pastry/crust. [squash squares] I find they freeze well, a bit wetter perhaps. I freeze it in flat containers, and then take it out of the freezer and put it right into my son's lunchbox. He loves it, and it is one food that is school friendly. I prefer to use butternut squash, as i find they seem to give me the most useable food, by weight, and because i find once roasted in the oven, [with a bit of water] i can scoop out the squash and not have to puree it. I freeze it in 1 and 2 cup sizes, and use it in many recipes. Cindy, IBS, SCD 5 months Brady, ASD, CP, SCD 5 months
