Hi a:

I e-mailed Dr. R and he said it was okay for me to get my pcp to fill them

before I left for Durham so that I could stay within network and they would

be covered by my insurance. I copied down the dosages from the handbook and

my pcp called them in. I didn't think to specify liquid Carafate because I

never knew it came in any other form. I guess I will have to pose this

question to Dr. R when I get down there.

Trisha:

What are you doing on-line on a Saturday night? I thought you would be out

shopping for your new hospital-wear. LOL I think I may stay in Durham an

extra week to meet you and Flo.

I just got my pcp to fill the:

Prilosec dosage: 20 mg p.o. once a day for the first month after surgery.

Actigall Dosage: 300-mg p.o. twice a day beginning two weeks after surgery.

Then take for the next 3-6 months.

Carafate ---sorry this is the one I must have screwed up on.

Give your pcp the handbook to copy down the dosages himself. If I had done

that he probably would have realized it needed to be liquid.

Take care!

Hi a:

Yes these are prescription meds. Dr. R said it was okay if I got my doc to

fill them. But I copied them down instead of taking the manual into him and

got pill form for carafate. You will find the list of meds in your manual.

They are listed with the dose.
