When you say " anaphylactic " , do you mean that his allergies are

life-threatening?

If they are just IgE, but not life-threatening, would you be willing to

investigate an alternative treatment called NAET? It's an allergy treatment,

and for many people, has worked very well in eliminating their allergies.

SCD 4mos terrible pain with passing BM??

hiys hun

sounds like die off to me both boys become horrendously constipated with scd -

yeast die off issues, kai gets really compacted

sheila has suggested to me increasing the quantity of fruit

other ideas increasing the amount of magnesium

intoducing milk thistle this will act as a mild laxitive plus will help the body

to clear out the toxins that are causing the constipation - kai uses a

concoction called ctxfe child version - and i have to say we have found it very

useful

vit c is another - someone suggested giving 500 mg every hour until a bm then

dropping it back and back until you find a level

we also use liquid paraffin - this you can buy at the chemist - i give kai 2 tsp

twice a day - if hes really compacted them i used to give him 4 tsp twice a day,

if using for the first time to clear an impaction, then you give it until he

passes just the liquid, then drop right back to 2 tsp twice a day - basically

from there on in, you give it at that level until you see the orange grease

again then you lower the dose - not always every day not always twice a day -

you just use it until the bowel starts working again and you no longer need it -

which should happen - its not a long term thing

The past few days,

you can tell when he is having a bm immediately because

he gets up on his toes, gets a terrified look on his face,

begins scratching himself violently and will push me if I

am anywhere near him, it was even worse tonight and has

begun to scare me. When he goes it's not very much ...

about two tablespoons....could he be constipated? impacted?

His diet is terribly limited due to IGE(anaphylactic) allergies.

He only eats pears, turkey, carrots and butternut squash.

Before SCD he could also have sweet potatoes and rice.

I have not been giving him peaches and apples due to the

phenol issues and yeast. We are currently going into our

3rd week on nystatin. He takes Hypo supernuthera, zinc,

mct oil, phenol assist (very little, I think he reacts somewhat)

He has been having reaction to calcium supplement AND

probiotics. He almost always has eczema so it is hard to tell

exactly what he reacts to. But it seems when I pull calcium he

gets better, and now the probiotics elicits a response, we are

using scdophilus (about our 5th probiotic, he vomits some of them)

I am going out of my mind, it seems everything that can help him he is

allergic to. We went for our first ava therapy session today and

he got hives and his face went almost purple so we had to leave. Not even

sure why, but the place did smell moldy. Sorry for the long post, I just feel

like we are two steps forward three steps back most of the time.

One more question.....is transfer factor legal? Has anyone used this that

has severe milk allergy??

Thanks guys!

Hi Emma,

is the milk thistle SCD legal? How about the paraffin? Thanks--I'd

like to try them too.

Hi, thanks for your response. Yes, most of his allergies

(including milk) are life threatening. Of course

some of the fruits might not be, but peanuts, milk, egg,

soy and wheat are through the roof!! We went through

about 10 months of Bioset (supposedly better than

NAET) and uses the same premise I think (energy)

but that is when I reallly realized that Peyton was autistic,

so we discontinued the treatments and starting seeing

a DAN dr. To be honest, I don't know if it helped at all.

Have you had good success with NAET yourself?

I wish there was a cure for allergies, we would be the

first ones in line, as it makes Peyton's treatment that much

more difficult. I am just wondering if we need to see

a GI doctor now about the pain during bms. I was hoping

to skip the scoping. :(

Asunto: SCD 4mos terrible pain with passing BM??

Hi everyone, my 2 yr old ASD son has been on SCD

for a little over 4 mos. He went from having 4 bms a

day down to one or two. His bms before SCD were

ok, after SCD they are sludgy which I assumed was

His diet is terribly limited due to IGE(anaphylactic) allergies.

He only eats pears, turkey, carrots and butternut squash.

I have not been giving him peaches and apples due to the

phenol issues and yeast. We are currently going into our

He has been having reaction to calcium supplement AND

probiotics. He almost always has eczema so it is hard to tell

exactly what he reacts to. But it seems when I pull calcium he

gets better, and now the probiotics elicits a response, we are

using scdophilus (about our 5th probiotic, he vomits some of them)

ctx8fe is a herbal concoction - it has milk thistle, butternut, red clover,

burdock, wild yam, ginger and marshmallow, it helps to rid the body of candida

toxins and the milk thistle acts as a mild laxitive, the others help to flush

the toxins out so reducing the toxins that are constipating made by nutriscene

liquid paraffin is an oil or greaser that is natural, and helps to soften the

impaction/stools for easier evacuation - available from most chemists

Hi Emma and all,

Burdock, wild yam and marshmallow are SCD illegal. Burdock contains

inulin and can feed the baddies. Marshmallow is mucilaginous and can

feed the harmful microbes also.
