Hey Everyone,

Muffy Kerber checking in again. I had my MGB on 3/27/00 and have lost 22 lbs.

As I've told the group before, I'm struggling with a lot of nausea. I even

tired small amounts of seltzer water and carbonated drinks to settle my stomach

which seemed to help a little bit, but I stopped when I got such a strong

negative response from the MGB Onelist when I posted this information.

The nausea is always with me, sometimes it's pretty low key or comes in waves

with decent times in between so I can still accomplish things at work and at

home during the day. Other days, like today, it is so bad I have to lay down

until it settles down some, which can take hours. I am really sick and

incapacitated during these times. I am trying to eat as blandly as possible,

but the sickness doesn't seem to be connected to what I'm eating. The worst

onsets of being sick have occurred after I've eaten something, in the morning

when I haven't eaten anything, and in between meals. There doesn't seem to be

any pattern.

I know from talking to other people on the MGB Onelist who have had the MGB that

this is not the norm. What I desperately need to know is if any other person

has had the same experience I'm having almost six weeks after the MGB; if so,

how long did it last; and is there anything I can do for it?

The constant nausea is really wearing me down - physically and emotionally. I

can't help being afraid that it's permanent.
