Guest guest
Hi! I know how you can feel defeated when someone unintentionally sabbotages the diet. It took my husband a while to get the hang of it, and he really tried, but without doing all the research himself, (and without being the main chef) it took him longer to get it all perfected. He would think he was doing wonderfully only to feel like discouraged when he had been making mistakes. If your husband says he is on board, then that is a big step itself! A lot of couples have struggles with this; so my advice is try hard to praise his efforts (before letting him know his mistakes) so that he will try even harder to get it right. It's overwhelming in the beginning as you know! I hope this helps,
Guest guest
Hi marrazzo5, If he doesn't normally eat apples than I wouldn't start right now. The popcorn may have made microbes increase and be " sending " out signals (cravings) for particular food. Just keep the next couple of days dietarily ( I am not sure that's a word?) simple to flush the nasties out of his system. So, don't introduce anything new just yet. Sheila I was so upset this past Saturday my husband gave my son popcorn.I am still upset about it.I am trying to notice any regression, so far he seems a little anxious and there was some mucus in his stoll. He is in good spirits but can;t stop asking for apples.Does anyone have an opinion on this. Thanks to all who replied about the hives -they cleared the next day. Toni P.S( off topic) any suggestions to help me make my husband understand the strictness of this diet??? He says he is on board but I am starting to question him.

I'm not sure if this will help, but popcorn itself is a universal no-no for people with digestive issues like IBS, Crohn's, Colitis, etc. in the most mainstream circles. If it's too hard to have popcorn around because of your son you may just have to get it out of the house, or have some microwave bags that DH could pop and take with him out of the house. Take care, Fay
