To Matija Re Facial Swelling

Matija,

I have had doxcycyline alternately prescribed for ocular rosacea and

nose swelling. Interestingly, my cheek swelling all but disappeared

during this time. My face looks so much better now -- I can actually

see my cheek bones again! I also started taking the birth control pill

in February as I believe that my rosacea has an hormonal component. I

do think there may be a lymphatic component as well -- I've suffered

from a suppressed immune system for years, the hallmark of which has

been chronically swollen lymph glands. Perhaps there is some underlying

infection and the doxy addresses this? Have you tried antibiotics or

b.c. pills? I've also made a lot of changes to my diet, although I'm

still working on sugar.
