Guest guest
I tried this cream, before I started HRT, and it didn't seem to have any effect. It's not that I didn't want it to work (as I did!) - it's just that it didn't. :-S And, yes, I think women of all ages can use it.
Guest guest
This is what I found too during the menopause. Guest guest
Hi Patty, I'm on day 12 of my progesterone cream (or day 26 of my cycle...or day 1 since I started my period). Should I continue the progesterone cream for the next 2 days as indicated on the prescription (days 14-28) or do I stop it since my period started early? Also, how much progesterone do you take? I know it's individual but I'm just curious. I've read that 30+mg is the therapeutic dose. I am only on 20. How did you know you were at an effective dose...by symptoms alone or by a particular estrogen/progesterone ratio? Thanks! PH
Guest guest
Hi PH, Patty may have another answer, but my understanding is to stop as soon as the period starts--that it is better not to take progesterone during the period, so as to mimic more closely the natural cycle. I too found that progesterone cream tends to bring on my period a little earlier. Sometimes its hard to predict so I usually just stop it as soon as I get my period. > > Hi Patty, > > I'm on day 12 of my progesterone cream (or day 26 of my cycle...or day 1 since I started my period). Guest guest
Hi PH, I started on 30mg but because that was not helping symptoms, my doc changed me to 40mg. I also changed from doing Days 14-28 to doing days 7-28, as per doctor's recommendation....I thought I was on 50mg but I just looked at the tubes and they are 40mg dosages. (I've never been on 50mg afterall). I did find some improvement on 40mg (breasts did not get tender around menstrual cycle is one obvious change from the cream) but then at my last period my breasts did get tender again, so I'm not sure what happened there...Am planning to get my hormone levels checked again soon. > > > > > > Hi Patty, > > > > > > I'm on day 12 of my progesterone cream (or day 26 of my cycle...or day 1 since I started my period). Guest guest
is correct...I agree with her. As for dosing, I do one pump of the Life Flo...I can't remember how much that is...have to check the bottle. But I also try to mimic the progesterone cycle with it. That is, I use a lighter pressure on the pump at the beginning of my 14 days, then full pressure on the pump at the height of the cycle, and back down to a lighter pressure until my period. Guest guest
What kind of progesterone are you girls getting? Is it pharmacy progesterone, or OTC? Is it pills or creams? Guest guest
Hi PH, Are you following 's healing protocol fully yet? Will you be doing any fasting? I'm going to be doing some more fasting, after getting motivated with Dr. Fuhrman's book again. I think I really messed up with that protein drink the last time I fasted...oh, my kidneys were aching after that drink. I'd forgotten how touch too much protein can be on the body. I'm curious about 's healing....I've not gotten her book, but I'm glad you guys are in contact and you are encouraged with her mentoring. Guest guest
Hi Patty, No, I am not following 's protocol fully. I was only able to fast for 6 days. I'm going to try again this Wednesday after I get a couple of social commitments out of the way. I haven't read 's book, but I exchanged several emails with her. It sounds as though she struggled for about 4 years doing various detoxes and alternative remedies that would bring some relief but not complete healing. She said that once she did the 37 day fast she was cured completely within 6 months after that and is able to eat anything she wants, junk food included. She recommends green juices only because in her opinion anything high on the glycemic index (apples and carrots) will feed yeast and other pathogens. She used a mixture of greens for 6 days, then went to distilled water for 10 and then finished out with cucumber juice. To this she added Schulze's Superfood for additional nutrients. She also used Schulze's Formula 1 and 2. Formula 2 is a charcoal/flax/fiber powder and not only staves off hunger but absorbs toxins. I love all of Schulze's products! Glad you are doing more fasting...it always works for you. Good luck with it. Guest guest
Hi PH, That's amazing that is fully healed after a 37 day fast. I am still intrigued by that, even though I have read about other people healing from fasting. Every success story makes me clap my hands and shout hallelujah! Have you tried to incorporate the green juices again? I know you had the brain fog from them before...just curious if you've tried them again. I have always been too afraid to do green juices because of the horrible response I had to them. I've not used Dr. Schulze's products before. I guess I will have to check them out! You don't have any herx reactions to any of them? Thanks, Patty > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi Patty, > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > I'm on day 12 of my progesterone cream (or day 26 of my cycle...or day 1 since I started my period). Guest guest
Hi PH ~ Sounds like you are doing so much better, but still have some issues to finish your puzzel. When I read the below article, I thought of you, so you might wanna read it......its about B-12........ Maybe even Doctor Erwin T. Tan, MD will chime in about this.... We are so very blessed to have him join in our group ! ! Just a small part of the article, I put below, for the full article click on the link: Symptoms of Vitamin B12 Deficiency If you don’t have adequate vitamin B12 levels in your bloodstream, you might notice some of the following warning signs: mental fogginess problems with your memory mood swings lack of motivation feelings of apathy fatigue and a lack energy muscle weakness tingling in your extremities One of the most important functions of vitamin B12 is building the myelin which insulates and protects your nerve endings and allows them to communicate with one another. If you’re B12 deficient and your myelin is depleted, you can experience health problems as widespread as depression, dementia and even symptoms which mimic multiple sclerosis. http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2009/05/19/Warning-Potentially-Life-Threatening-Vitamin-Deficiency-Affects-25-Percent-of-Adults.aspx **************Recession-proof vacation ideas. Guest guest
Hi Patty, No, green juices don't seem to bother me anymore, but I can only do cucumber and celery due to my juicer not being good with leafy greens. As far as herx reactions, my symptoms are so constant that I feel I've been herxing for two years! It's hard for me to determine a herx on top of the constant brain fog and fatigue I feel. Progeserone has helped with that some but I don't think I'm at the proper dosage yet. All I can say is that treating for parasites was huge for me in terms of improvement...just one piece of this big puzzle! Guest guest
Hi Dede, Yes, what you wrote below sounds like me to a T. I'm taking B12 sublinguals but maybe that's not enough. I wonder if I need B12 injections? I'll ask my MD/ND when I see him next. As always, thanks for your wealth of info! Thinking of you. Guest guest
Thanks for that, Angel. I think I understand it! No, not having any problems - was just asking out of curiosity. Today is only day 9 of my using the progesterone cream anyway. I'm hoping it will eventually stop my hot flushes.
