Guest guest
Hi , I use casein free yogurt starter from www.giprohealth.com but, I know that some other parents only use the probiotics. I use both. I think the yogurt starter might also help with getting a thick yogurt. Mine is always thick. Beth Bivens Yogurt Q Hi all, I was thinking of trying the nut yogurt out with my IgG sensative son (been off all allergens for six months). He did not test reactive to macadamias, and I know they seem fairly well tolerated by even sensative folks. My Q is about the starter - do we need to order it specially? Or can I just use some of his probiotics? I'm asking b/c I know people who use a bit of the last batch to 'innoculate' the new one - and we've found some probio strains he seems to tolerate. If I used those and he had a bad rxn, at least I'd know that it was the actual yogurt he didn't tolerate - not the probio. Any input helpful, thanks! -christine For information on the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, please read the book _Breaking the Vicious Cycle_ by Elaine Gottschall and read the following websites: http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info and http://www.pecanbread.com

You also need a certain balance of the bacterial strains to ensure complete fermentation has occured. I'm asking b/c I know people > who use a bit of the last batch to 'innoculate' the new one - Elaine cautioned against doing this. There is legal starter at http://www.giprohealth.com/starter.html Sheila, SCD 56 mos, 21 yrs UC mom of , SCD 41 mos
Guest guest
Hi Jenn, > Also, I was wondering if when I get the starter, do I keep it in the freezer > or the refrigerator? I don't want to kill the ggod guys!! Thanks. I keep mine in the refrigerator (I use Lyosan). You should probably double check with whichever company you use.
