I wanted to highlight this particular statement for our group:"....and other patients have very high levels of inflammation

that are difficult to curtail solely with natural therapy."I believe this describes what many of our women go through who have a very slow healing process. I believe this is what I dealt with for over 4 years.Nevertheless, dietary therapy is the way to go, and can produce results, as can fasting. This is how I got my health back. Please go back and re-read the paragraph that deals with the positive results he has been able to obtain for those suffering from autoimmune disease if you missed it the first time. I've highlighted it in BOLD below. I think this offers incredible hope to those of us who have fought to go into remission. I also wanted to address statement #3 in Dr. Fuhrman's suggestions for autoimmune healing. Many people don't understand what the different oils are, i.e., the EFA's, DHA, Omega 3, Omega 6, etc, and what they do in our body. Knowing which oils to consume and which to avoid is important when fighting autoimmunity and inflammation.Certain oils are pro-inflammatory, while others are anti-inflammatory. You certainly don't want to have an imbalance of oils favoring the pro-inflammatory oils in your diet if you are suffering from inflammation already. Therefore, it will be necessary to add in anti-inflammatory oils to your diet, and curtail the pro-inflammatory ones.I will post some information regarding the essential fatty acids, and hopefully, some guidelines as to what sources are best.Supplementing with fish oils is one of the best ways to get those anti-inflammatory fats, as well as eating wild caught ocean fish.Patty> >> >> >> >> >> > http://www.drfuhrman.com/disease/Other.aspx> >> >> >> >> >> > The diseases mentioned in the article below include these common> > conditions> >> > * Acne> >> > * Allergies> >> > * Arthritis> >> > * Asthma> >> > * Connective Tissue Disease> >> > * Fatigue> >> > * Fibromyalgia> >> >> > * Herpes> >> > * Irritable Bowel Syndrome> >> > * Myositis (muscle aches)> >> > * Psoriasis> >> > * Reflux Esophagitis> >> > * Rheumatoid Arthritis> >> > * Lupus> >> > Nutritional therapy should be the first-line treatment for most> diseases> >> > When you utilize nutrition and the other factors of a healthy> lifestyle> > as your first line of defense against disease, you learn that the> finest> > health care is excellent self-care, and doctors have a very small role> > to play in your staying healthy.
