Guest guest
The protein in cow's milk is different than the protein in goat's milk. So, the same will hold true for the cheese. If your son did not tolerate cow's milk products well in the past, then I would be very cautious to reintroduce any cow's milk products. Neither of my kids consume cow's milk cheese or yogurt. Guest guest
I believe it was the casein that was the problem for him with dairy products. It is hard to know since we removed gluten and casein at the same time 5 years ago. He has been eating the DCCC and so far seems okay with that so would cow cheese like mild cheddar be a good next step? Is the protein in cow cheese casein? Guest guest
DCCC is a cow's milk product. So, if he is eating that successfully with no problems, then cow's milk products will probably be fine for him. Casein is the protein in mammal milk. Different mammals' casein has different structures. Goat's milk casein is easier to digest than cow's milk casein. And obviously human casein would be the easiest for humans to digest.
