Elaine recommended only the single strain L. Acidophilus for

supplementation.

The decision to use other strains would be up to you as an individual.

I know that there are people who follow the food restrictions of SCD,

but use " illegal " probiotics.

We also know of others who have tried " illegal " probiotics and have

had negative reactions.

So, this is a personal, individualized decision on your part, but

Elaine recommended only L. Acidophilus which can be gotten from GI Pro

Health, Kirkman Labs, Lucy's Kitchen shop (not dairy free), SCDiet.com

(not dairy free).

I use Kirkman's and know that Pro-bio Gold is not legal. Their Lactobacillus

Acidophilus is legal, and Elaine recommended straight acidophilus rather than

combinations like Pro-bio Gold, anyway. I really liked Pro-bio Gold before the

diet, but we seem to be doing fine with straight acidophilus.

I use Kirkman's and know that Pro-bio Gold is not legal. Their Lactobacillus

Acidophilus is legal, and Elaine recommended straight acidophilus rather than

combinations like Pro-bio Gold, anyway. I really liked Pro-bio Gold before the
