Guest guest
Thanks again for joining our group My finger hurts so bad I couldn't take it any longer I went to the hospital last night I guess she was a Nurses Aide that first grabbed me up This Aide said you have to remove your nail polish I said this is not nail polish The Nurses Aide in a stern voice said yes it is Now I am getting a little preturbed with this woman I said this is not nail polish, how can it be, when I never wear nail polish She took a third look and said, ... oh ok This is day 3 and my whole finger nail is still blood purple The doctor on call did not put a hole in my nail but instead ordered an x-ray The x-ray showed I have a chipped bone and it's badly bruised The doctor said I most likely will lose my finger nail and he had this male nurse put a finger splint on my finger to keep it protected The doctor ordered me a prescription for an antibiotic Keflex 500 mg That female nurse came in and I slipped the antibiotic under my tounge and spit it out. Should I take the antibiotic ??? Keflex 500 mg capsule Just removed the splint as it hurts to have anything touching it Oy Vey... my finger hurts so bad !!!! Seroma in my left breast - The doctor on call actually sat down and listened to my story of being chemically poisoned from my own breast implants although he could not help me, he believed me when I said my implants poisoned me He took interest and asked me other questions about the implants Sounds like .. THIS DOCTOR HAS HEARD IT ALL BEFORE.... Sandy~ Hi, Sandy, just a quick response, please don't put peroxide anymore. In my practice, we have already refrained from using peroxide because it causes a form of a chemical burn especially on open wounds. Remember that the action of peroxide is "free radical" oxidation... we don't want that. If its still swollen, keep it cooled, like wear a rubber glove and immerse it on cold water. As for antiseptic, please use betadine or any povidone based antiseptic. I don't know that extent of the wound but if you get fever or if the swelling doesn't go down, which means the infection has set in, you have to seek medical attention, okay? Regarding silver amalgams, those are banned also where I live, it's due to the mercury part of the amalgam... which causes memory loss, etc... - Two days ago my son got mad at me and slammed his bedroom door shut Not realizing my finger was in it and I screamed bloody murder I chose not to go to the hospital.. so dealing with it on my own My whole finger nail is purple and still bleeding a little I am not sure how much nail has left the surface I am one hurting Mom I am periodically putting peroxide on it and have it covered It feels like an electrical shock when I accidently hit it on something Never fails when you have a boo boo Somehow you always manage to hit it on something !!! Guest guest
Thanks again for joining our group - my pleasure... My finger hurts so bad I couldn't take it any longer I went to the hospital last night I guess she was a Nurses Aide that first grabbed me up This Aide said you have to remove your nail polish I said this is not nail polish The Nurses Aide in a stern voice said yes it is Now I am getting a little preturbed with this woman I said this is not nail polish, how can it be, when I never wear nail polish She took a third look and said, ... oh ok- the thirds a charm for her, haha! This is day 3 and my whole finger nail is still blood purple The doctor on call did not put a hole in my nail but instead ordered an x-ray The x-ray showed I have a chipped bone and it's badly bruised - did he say exactly where? Did you hear him mention... "proximal, medial or distal" phalanx? The doctor said I most likely will lose my finger nail and he had this male nurse put a finger splint on my finger to keep it protected The doctor ordered me a prescription for an antibiotic Keflex 500 mg That female nurse came in and I slipped the antibiotic under my tounge and spit it out. Should I take the antibiotic ??? Keflex 500 mg capsule- an antibiotic is warranted if there is any evidence of open wounds. Keflex is Cephalexin, it is a penicillin derivative and works as a broad-spectrum antibiotic (shot gun, wide-range). Usually in my practice, if there is an open wound and no signs of infection, I would just give it as a prophylaxis / prevention as three times a day for three days only. Should there be signs of infection, then it wuld be taken for seven days. Just removed the splint as it hurts to have anything touching it Oy Vey... my finger hurts so bad !!!! - it would be wise to keep the splint, especially since you have a chipped bone. Also, in time, immobilization will remve / lessen the pain and swelling. Seroma in my left breast - The doctor on call actually sat down and listened to my story of being chemically poisoned from my own breast implants although he could not help me, he believed me when I said my implants poisoned me He took interest and asked me other questions about the implants Sounds like ..
