Guest guest
Gee such big shots what kind were they after 12 weeks your T levels should be a lot higher then 275 did he test you before your next shot. If so this could be why you test came back to low 12 weeks is not much time on TRT to say something is not working. What he should have done is give you 200 mgs on your first shot then the next week do 100 mgs and do this every week 100 mgs. You need to have your Estradiol " E2 " checked I am betting your high now doing 400 mgs every 2 weeks for 3 shots will convert into Estradiol big time this will kill your sex life and make you feel bad things like sore and hard nipples, ED, trouble reaching an orgasm, low pain in your prostate with slow voiding, feeling of panic, feeling hot and looking red on the upper part of your body and face and brain fog. To keep your testis working doing TRT you need to add HCG if on Androgel do 250 IU's every 3 days. As for how much the loss of your as you call it dry orgasms try some Maca I have been on this for a long time it levels off my hormones ups my libido and makes my load much bigger. Also do some Zinc/Copper every morning this is good for your testis and helps keep E2 down. I take 1/2 a tsp full of Maca in the morning with some sugar free 4oz. cup of apple sauce and then again at noon with some low fat yogurt. I buy it by the KG it comes in a bag and is a powder. http://www.macaweb.com/view.cfm/hurl/pid=1032/Maca-Powerreg--1kg22lbs-Raw-Maca-P\ owder http://www.myvitanet.com/zincop100cnt.html Also go to www.allthingsmale.com and read TRT: A Recipe for Success and the HCG Update show this to your Dr. and tell him you need to try this. Here is a Cut and Past on Eat Right for Maximum Ejaculate. The porn stars do this. Phil Nutrition plays a great role in determining both the content and volume of your ejaculate. Naturally, a balanced diet is essential for good sexual health, but the vitamins, minerals and supplements listed below can have a dramatic effect on the volume of ejaculate your body produces. The supplement L-Arginine is an amino acid the body uses for a variety of important chemical and cellular processes. . .it is also believed to help you produce more volume of ejaculate. 500mg daily and (this is important...) 1,000mg 30-40 minutes prior to sexual activity. Like all natural supplements, you must be patient and allow your body's " storehouse " to build-up. This period takes anywhere from 2-4 weeks depending upon the individuals baseline health and metabolic rate. Zinc - One of the nutrients most critical for prostate health. The prostate needs 10 times more zinc than any other organ in the body. It is vital for preventing prostate problems. Unfortunately, 90% of men consume diets deficient in Zinc because most of our food is processed. Irving Bush and Associates at Chicago's Cook County Hospital tested the effectiveness of Zinc supplementation on men with prostate problems. All patients reported symptomatic improvement while almost 80% had palpable shrinkage of the prostate gland. RDA is 15 mg...we recommend 45 mg per day. Lycopene - is a natural anti-oxident that is prevalent in tomatoes. Recent studies show it to have roughly twice the power of Beta-Carotene and 10 times the strength of Vitamin E, when it comes to protecting and healing our bodies from the damage of free radicals which are the cancer precursors. In fact, free radicals are now considered to be one of the main causes of disease and aging. In a process known as oxidation, they accelerate the breakdown of our cell's structure, thereby damaging the DNA and weakening our immune system. A four year study at Harvard University set out to see whether the five major antioxidants found in fruits and vegetables would have any beneficial effect on prostate cancer. Of the five, only Lycopene was found to have a direct link. They found that of the 50,000 healthy males studied, those who ate at least 10 servings of tomatoes or tomato based products per week were 33% less likely to develop prostate complications than those who never ate them. Researchers concluded that the active antioxidant in tomatoes, Lycopene, significantly reduced the risk of prostate difficulties and improved its function. We recommend 10-12 servings of tomatoes or tomato based foods per week. Do not use or ingest if allergic. Beta-Sitosterol - is another nutrient that may benefit men with prostate problems. One double blind study of 100 men showed that Beta-Sitosterol taken over a six month period improved urine flow, reduced the size of the prostate and led to subjective feelings of improvement. Niacin - is important for many cellular processes. Supplementation with extra niacin in your diet will promote increased blood flow to all parts of your body. . .including the scrotum and testicles. swg1802 <swg1802@...> wrote: through blood test found out I had low testosterone.....192 total....was put on testostorone shots 400mg for the first 3 then 200mg for the nest 3.... every 2 weeks....blood test showed and increase but not that much... now up to 275 total.... Guest guest
S W G I wonder why this is to because ever since i've been on Androgel my loads are not very big at all. Like you said, mine used to be very large and now minimized quite a bit even when i dont have any sexual activity for 3 or 4 days. Also, it does make your nuts soften up a bit. Both of these side effects are depressing to me and i'm in the process of getting some HCG to take along with the Androgel. Josh
Guest guest
I feel this can happen because your brain sees the Androgel of T in the blood and does not send the messages to the testis to make more T so they stop working and get small. Not to worry I was on TRT for 21 yrs. started on HCG and this acts like the messages and my testis started working again my T levels doubled and I am primary meaning my testis can't make enough T. I take Maca and this helps keep my hormones leveled and brings up my libido and my load is much bigger. After starting HCG my load is like it was when I was 20 now 62. Guest guest
if taking HCG makes ur testes work again why do u take TRT? isn't HCG enough for you? maybe with HCG alone u wouldn't constantly fight with high E2. just a thought. philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: I feel this can happen because your brain sees the Androgel of T in the blood and does not send the messages to the testis to make more T so they stop working and get small. Guest guest
I am primary meaning my testis don't work to good. We did try just doing HCG and I started to crash big time my levels went though the floor. Also we make T from other glans in the body not just for the testis. Men with testis cancer that had them cut off were still showing some T in there blood tests. It would be great if I could just use HCG. Guest guest
Welcome Bob The only thing I can tell you is what I know for sure. Back in 1987 I tried gel for a period of 7 months. Then Dr. put me on patches called Androderm or Transdermal. One patch every day. That was after they checked my T and found it was 78 range 300 - 1200. Which is too low as they say I felt like shit! The patch finally got me up to around 200. This was still too low for me so finally they started the T shots. I have been on T now for about 19 years. It all boils down to what ever gets your level up to where you can feel normal. There is no treatment for Hypo that isn't expensive. I don't know of anything except meds for our problem. Normal is what is good for you. Keep it simple. You should have all the normal blood test done not just the T levels but also don't forget the Estraidol check. I am assuming you are having problems with ED or you wouldn't have gone to the doctor. Here is what mine endo checked out with me. Most were normal but the Estradiol which was 59 range 10 - 50 This is too high and was lowering my T So that is where I stand after 19 years of going through this shit!!!!!! I now have my Estradiol down to 43 < 77. Still to high, it should be around 20 or so Phil says, so that is what I am working for. Taking Arimidex to get the E down lower so that I can have some morning wood! Goog Luck. If I can help out with anything else please post. Phil knows more about this than anyone here I think but I know more now than I did before I joined this group. Always get the results printed out and take with you, don't be in the dark as I was for so long!!!! That was my mistake. CORTISOL - normal T-4/ THROXINE - normal ESTRADIOL, S - high FSH - low LH - low PROLACTIN, SERUM - normal TSH - normal ACTH - low normal PSA - .4 normal God Bless and good luck Roy kuulei0924 <kuulei0924@...> wrote: Went to the doc and found out I have low testosterone -- below the normal level. The most expensive is Androgel or Testim, by far, or maybe surgical T pellet implentation is also very expensive. I don't know of any way to raise testosterone levels without supplemental T. norton

Guest guest
Welcome to the forum, . First of all, the conventional wisdom these days seems to be that testosterone level in and of itself has little relationship to the ability to obtain or maintain an erection. Second, it is also generally believed that testosterone replacement therapy does not cause cancer, but WILL accelerate the growth of any prostate cancer that may already exist or may come into existence. For this reason, my physician who prescribes Androgel also elects to check my prostate every six months, with DRE and test of PSA. --- <gpb3@...> wrote: > Hello, I'm new to this forum. Guest guest
Welcome , I understand why you would be cautious, with your track record of cancer, but what was your T level prior to your first renal cancer? If you do not know, then perhaps you could describe yourself, at that point in your life, physical condition, were you having nightime erections? overweight, enlarged breast, big belly, were you interested in sex? Knowing a T level gives little to no information here for anyone to work with, as estrogen levels are critical to know before knowledgable suggestions could be given to help you make a decision. In my case I do feel bestus, if I keep a thirty to one ratio of T to E, that is six hundred T, and twenty there abouts estrogen, E2. Again in my case, I have always had a very athletic body, 190 pounds, six foot. Two years before I was dxed with leukemia, my body began taking on fat. Six months after receiving treatment, my T was about a hundred, my estrogen was three hundred, the problem I have, is not knowing what it may have been before. In my case, the fat probably indicated an extra load of estrogen, prior to the dx, my lack of interest in sex those last couple years before being dxed tells me, my balance was off, probably close to what it was when it was measured six months later. Once I got my T and E balanced, close to the thirty to one ratio, my fat dissappeared, my desire for sex returned. regards david Low Testosterone > Hello, I'm new to this forum. Guest guest
Thanks for your reply . I don't know what my testosterone level was but until chemo I was in very good shape, below avg. BMI. I hiked 10 to 20 mile a week. I've always had a problem with to much sex drive until chemo. I guess I should have the doc check my estrogen level, I have no idea of what it is, though I have been adding a little fat even though I'm really watchting my diet. Also my breast are tender and slighty swollen. My doctor say a normall level of testosterone is somewhere between 400 and 1000 for a man my age (62). > > Welcome , I understand why you would be cautious, with your track record > of cancer, but what was your T level prior to your first renal cancer? > If you do not know, then perhaps you could describe yourself, at that point > in your life, physical condition, were you having nightime erections? > overweight, enlarged breast, big belly, were you interested in sex? > Knowing a T level gives little to no information here for anyone to work > with, as estrogen levels are critical to know before knowledgable > suggestions could be given to help you make a decision. > > In my case I do feel bestus, if I keep a thirty to one ratio of T to E, that > is six hundred T, and twenty there abouts estrogen, E2. Guest guest
This can be complicated. The one thing guys here are concerned about is the development of prostate cancer because of the relationship of testosterone replacement therapy and prostate cancer. TRT is a no no for guys with prostate cancer. I have no idea what the alternatives are but you will need to get it sorted out in advance. Good luck. <gpb3@...> wrote: Hello, I'm new to this forum. Guest guest
I had another thought about testosterone levels, in reference to cancer. My younger brother is under the care of a leading heart docter in the US. That docter highly recommends, jogging, running to be best for the cardio system, he goes on to say, it is best to run until we can no longer sing, then walk until you feel comfortable to sing. then run again. We also know we men have no way to store testosterone, to increase our T level, we must exercise in such a way as to cause more blood to flow through our testicles and remove the available T, then our testicles makes more. Football, or foosball players, seem to be involved in sexual misconduct on occasion. Both sports require the participant to instantaneiously run, then walk a while. ie a fifty yard dash. Which by my logic, would create higher T levels. In my opinion it does not take a leap of faith, to understand and comprehend, the dash is excellant for the heart, and higher testosterone level, lower estrogen levels, and exercise is said to be great for the immune system to be at peak. I am told it is our immune systems job to find and destroy, cell aberations which can become cancer at a later point. I cannot disregard, that our bodies evolved over a hundred thousand years, thats three hundred thousand generations, more or less, and is factual, and scientifically proveable according to my son, the docktor. With or without God's intervention, mox nix, anywho for a laymen like myself to consider, exercise which is good for the heart, immune and hormone system, to be counter productive and encourage cancer in some direct or indirect manner. I just cannot get there. On the other hand, the left, that is, could it be excess estrogen in men, that is the culprit. I can go there. I love to pick on my urologists, he came from my old neighborhood, albeit, he graded med school in ninety one, he believes sex once a month is normal, I know his wife and not to be disrespectful, once a day, would be normal for me. He thought I was attempting to make a joke, when I asked him for lab work to determine my estrogen level. Goes beserk, when my T levels come in above five hundred. Demands I allow him to take out my prostrate, as my psa levels are often in the twenties, as a direct response to being overactive and preoccupied with girls. Just my uneducated, but responsible opinion, have a great week, kind regards david Low Testosterone > Hello, I'm new to this forum. I have a little different problem than > most. I understand your concern. But I think you will find T is essential for a meaningful life. With low T you get mental fog, lack of energy, focus and ambition. If your job requires mental focus and attention and acuity, you may find yourself unable to perform at past levels and risk losing your job. (Lots of guys here did such before discovering their low T.) More importantly you can end up with low bone density. You sound like an active guy (like me) and the low bone density can really put an end to that. I discovered my low T when I started cracking ribs. 8 ribs over 18 months in 4 incidents. the last one snapped from just leaning over a car seat. T is essential for a full life. I'd say shoot for moderation, levels of 500 to 700. Frequent PSA exams. And E2 management.
Guest guest
I could like your dock, 400 to 1000 T, my hormones went askew with leukemia or the chemo, will never know, except I feel blessed, ie silver lining in every cloud, well that's what Mom said. I learned of hormone therapy, and it has changed my life for the better. I try to monitor my breast, and my nightime erections, if I get turned on when I rub my breast, and my voice gets high, I am high on E, and always without fail, my night time erections are weak. I think you are catching on. kind regards david Low Testosterone >> >> >> > Hello, I'm new to this forum. I have a little different problem > than >> > most. Guest guest
A high PSA level, in my humble opinion, has nothing to do with " being overactive and preoccupied with girls. Guest guest
I was having a relationship with a lady affected by bordelrine personality disorder, they are very insecure, she required attention everyday, after about six months, I had my psa level checked, it was twelve, so my friend the uro dock, wanted to remove my prostrate immediately. So I hustle my little butt to the medical library on save my prostrate mission. It took little time to read that psa is a direct reflection of activity within in the prostrate, the more activity there, the higher the psa level, the less, the lower the psa level, ie cancer causes a lot of activity, rapid growth etc, and I think we can assume that is why the test is done, sex also causes a lot of activity in the prostrate. I go to every other day, with my girlfriend, of course my borderline thinks I don't lover her anymore, she went away, but my psa level was once again normal after a month. My uro was happy, I was pissed, my love was gone. best regards david, aka flex Re: Low Testosterone >A high PSA level, in my humble opinion, has nothing to do with " being > overactive and preoccupied with girls. Guest guest
Thanks for the info retrogrouch. Sorry to be so new to this that I don't understand all this stuff like DRE (and thanks to for that info). My PSA is slightly above my normal level before Chemo. You mention manageing my E2 levels, may I ask how I do that? By the way I wouldn't mind getting turned on if I played with my breast, I'd just like to get turned on again. > > >Hello, I'm new to this forum. I have a little different problem than > >most. Guest guest
Hi you can use Indoplex/DIM to get E2 down it's sold OTC or get your Dr. to give you Arimidex. Here is a good link to read about low testosterone and high Estradiol " E2 " . http://www.griffinmedical.com/male_hormone_modulation_therapy.html Here is a link to the Indolplex/DIM if you try DIM get this brand the others did not work for me. http://www.ritecare.com/prodsheets/PHY-15336.html We are all short on Zinc so get on this. http://www.myvitanet.com/zincop100cnt.html If you try Indolplex/DIM take only one tablet at dinner time if you do more you can go down so fast your miss the Zone. The Zone is night time and morning wood so strong it wakes you up. This is one of the big reasions most men have ED and a low libido. So you should get wood in less then 2 weeks keep taking the tablet but if the wood stops your going down to low. So stop the tablet until wood comes back then that day go back on the Indolplex/DIM but cut the tablet in half. If your trying Arimidex take the 1mg. pill and cut it into 4 parts take one part .25mgs every 3 days and if you go to low same as above but cut back to every 5 days. <gpb3@...> wrote: Thanks for the info retrogrouch. Guest guest
I take the Indoplex (thanx Phil) as well as my wife (she's 50). We use it to metabolize estrogens, especially the bad estrogens. There's an enzyme in your body called Aromatase. Aromatase takes Testosterone and converts it into Estrogen. Estrogen breaks down into E2 (Estradiol) and even further. This is the bad Estrogen that competes for Testosterone cell receptor sites throughout the body, brain, hypothalamus, etc. That's why some men feel like they've been run over by a large automobile. Arimidex is what's known as an Aromatase inhibitor. It prevents this Aromatase from converting the T to E but from what I hear in the forum using it requires a little dialing in. Instead of Arimidex I take 1 50 mg tablet of Zinc. I follow that up with a 2 mg tablet of copper to replace the metals the Zinc may remove from my body. You'll get good data here but keep up your research. philip georgian <pmgamer18@...> wrote: Hi you can use Indoplex/DIM to get E2 down it's sold OTC or get your Dr. to give you Arimidex.
