Guest guest
I don't know about phentermine other than it didn't work for me, but I can tell you this, *don't* waste any money on Meridia. It is a frigging joke. By their *own* literature, a ten pound weight loss in a year was considered " successful weight loss, " plus you will be hounded by their " helpful " program (a diet with a lot of shiny-happy mailings to you.) And it costs $97 for one months' supply. That is more, per ounce, than gold. My doctor said that for xenical to be of any good, you'd have to be drinking fat (he gestured as if drinking from a gallon jug here -- he's a comedian), and that it would only block about 1/3 of that, if that and he considered it a waste of money. One thing to consider, too, is that if you *do* lose weight, you could still be overweight and bound to gain it back, but have lost enough that your insurance won't cover you to have the MGB. Hmmm. > Since I've come out of the closet and posted, let me ask a question. > (I've emailed Dr. R but no reply yet.) > > Do any of you know whether taking phentermine in the months before surgery > would cause the surgery to be postponed?
