Guest guest
Hello, I'm a husband who has seen his wife's health deteriorate in the last 3 months to the point where she cannot lead a normal life. Saline breast implants were done in August 2008. Symptoms flared up in January 2009. Listed in the order of intensity / importance: - Pain in chest and back- dull pain that comes & goes in intensity. - Pain just below the lowest ribs, on both sides, going from back to front. This pain can be very intense. - Pain in the upper neck. - Fatigue- normal chores and taking care of our 3-year old are next to impossible. - Pain in knees and knuckles of both hands. This pain has come & gone, at present it is gone. My wife has always had sleep issues, I really can't tell if they've gotten worse since the operation- but I suspect they have. My first question: could my wife's issues be due to the saline implants? Most other posts I've read here indicate many more symptoms. Multiple doctor visits have discarded organ issues, cancer, lupus, MS- at least that's what I've been told. Blood work by our family doctor showed " everything is normal " . We recently got a rheumatologist, and blood work showed a " very slight elevation of a component indicating inflamation " . I will get the detailed blood work in my own hands this coming week, and would like to know what to look for. From reading other posts, I think I should look for: - a positive ANA 1:80, - " Elevated TGF Beta 1 level, elevated rheumatoid factor, as well as a lowered C3 Complement, and macrocytosis " - what are the lines in a blood test that will show this, and what would the tell-tell numbers be? - Should we perform a hair analysis for tin toxicity? If we should choose to remove the implants, can anyone recommend a surgeon for this procedure in the Chicago area? Thank you very much! -
Guest guest
Hi , I hope you have been received some answers to your questions. Everything that you've written is consistent with what women have endured after getting implants. The solutions to health issues after implants involved removing the offending implants, and then detoxing and supporting the body back to health. I believe that the reason that the test results usually come back normal for many women is because hormones are involved, due to a disrupted endocrine system. Other people seem to think that candida and yeast or molds are a huge issue. It could be a combination of factors...we just know that women are ill and doctors have not figured out why, and our healing journey has been undertaken through our own initiative and exploration. So, to answer your questions: 1) Yes, your wife's health issues could very well be implant related. 2) Reading blood tests are fairly straightforward...anything " out of range " is going to be something worth looking at. However, it is also telling to use historical test results and look for patterns of change that indicate a gland, organ or system is not working as well. 3) Tests for autoimmunity have to be ordered specifically by the doctor, and are not on a CBC or basic blood test. C3 complement, as well as the other complements are specific and expensive tests, while the rheumatoid factor and ANA testing is fairly typical for rheumatologists. 4) A hair analysis for tin toxicity may be a test to consider, though a comprehensive heavy metals test would be more informative. 5) There are not many surgeons that we can recommend for proper removal in the country, unfortunately. Many of them simply pop those implants out and call it done. However, a PROPER removal requires the en bloc procedure or total capsulectomy and I would suggest that your closest and best choice would be Dr. Lu Feng in Cleveland OH. Please let us know how you and your wife are doing.
