Guest guest
Hello... I hope everything is well in your worlds, and that this finds you having a good day. I'll make this quick, because I know you stay busy. Quick update: I am a year and a half post explant. The one thing with marked improvement is that I have enough 'energy' to get up and about almost every day now, as to where a couple years ago I was in bed all but a few days per month. I am tolerating exercise sometimes. Joint pain is about half what it was before. Rashes are gone, eyes are brighter, my hair isn't falling out in clumps, and I'm looking younger than when I was much more sick. No improvement neurologically, with thyroid, nausea, or generalized pain. The only thing I do to detox is that I stick to Dr. Kolb's diet for the most part. I know it just takes time, and I also know this is great improvement considering I can't afford supplements, or anything suggested. Hi group,I heard from Brigite recently and she has written this to share with the group....If any of you want to encourage Brigite, please write her. She is such a sweet angel. Her addy is: KissofSadness@...The main reason I'm writing though -and you may already know this... My breasts are full of lumps from scar tissue causing pretty severe pain. I had it in my head that by removing the implants -I'd no longer have breast pain, but it never dawned on me how much pain scar tissue could cause. In fact, it's so bad I had to see a specialist here. He did an ultrasound and said my scar tissue is as severe as breast cancer patients. He said that although my implants were over the muscle, the scarring goes all the way down to my ribs. There isn't even any 'tissue' in the circular areas behind my breasts... it's pure scar. It's supposed to look like 'white swiss cheese' in the breast tissue, with tendons of the chest muscle behind it --- mine are pure black lumps, and there are no tendons in the chest wall any where just solid black. He said it was obvious to him seeing this how the implants had infected me all the way down to the ribs, and had 'eaten' away at my insides. I had told him how other doctors argue the possibility of my Silicone Poisoning, Biotoxin Disease, and silicone allergy -he said if they'd see my ultrasounds they wouldn't. Having said that... it's literally bad enough he said he'd normally remove the breasts completely and do implants for this, but since I obviously can't implant my only option is to deal with the pain, or have no breasts at all. He said if he cuts into me it would only create more scar tissue. He said tram flap surgery would be drastic, but possible although he didn't recommend it compared to the aesthetic results I have now. (Which aren't bad considering I had no lift.) I'm opting to live with the pain... but what I wanted you all to know if you don't already is to tell the girls to take at least 1,000 mg of vitamin E right after they explant as that scar tissue is forming. He said had I done that it may not be as severe. I knew it helped EXTERNAL scars, but had no idea it could help internally. My life was such a blur when I explanted that I can't remember if I was told to take it or not. Never the less, I wanted to make sure you all know about the Vitamin E benefits to internal scarring because it may at least improve someone else's scar tissue results from deep inside their chest. I know Dr. Kolb had to scrape deep infection out of my chest, and assume others may run into this too. And if there's evidence why this should NOT be done -I apologize in advance. I'm just going by what he told me, and if it's true it's worth passing on. For what it's worth at this point, he has me on 1,000mg of E per day just to see if it softens the tissue at all. I'm also supposed to massage them, and run the shower head with head on them for at least 5 minutes per day. I go back in 3 months for another ultrasound. Something that gets me though... He said himself he didn't even know how I could stand for anyone to touch them, yet neither him nor my PCP prescribe anything for pain. They tell me to take Aleve -which is like candy for me at this point. (I've taken Naproxen 24/7 for 10 years in various forms.) I went to the ER for this about a year ago, and they told me my doctor should have me on Ultram, or a mild pain reliever stronger than OTC. It's just hard to live with sometimes. Anyway --- take care. Saline Support is always in my prayers. Please let me know if I can ever help anyone. Love, Brigite
