Too late to help?

Good afternoon everyone,

I've never posted here, but I have been reading everything and the

amount of information is wonderful! Could someone tell me if I've

possibly waited too long to be able to help my daughter with this

diet? She is now 5 years old, autistic, very sweet and loving, but has

very little speech. She has been gluten/milk free since she was 13

months old, but we're still at a standstill with speech. I would just

love more than anything to hear her little voice more often. We

started this diet at the beginning of August and have seen some

wonderful things (she learned to ride her bike, much better

understanding, trying harder with siblings and their friends, etc.),

but her speech hasn't progressed at all. I know I can't expect things

to change this quickly, but does anyone know if it's possible that this

diet will help her with speech eventually? Thank you for reading!

Shellie,

My daughter and I have been on this diet 95% since May 16, 2005.

She is also 5 with autism. She is also well behind on her speech. We changed

her schooling from ABA to floortime approach and also added the homemade

yogurt and she has started to imitate a lot of words now. This diet has

helped her bm's, sleeping and behavior. Thank God for using Elaine to teach

us about SCD! Jenn & Kali
