's temp " only " went up to 104.3. I called hubby in TX and told him if it hit 105 we were headed to the hospital. I couldn't sleep that night just watching over him. Next day we went to the Dr. and it turns out he has Bronchitis and Roto Virus. (Seems Mom may have a touch of the Roto herself although I thought something I ate disagreed with me lol). Doc. said he'd be spiking fevers for about a week before he was done with it, but perscribed antibiotics anyway. Poor baby, as soon as the Motrin wears off that fever shoots right back up. Hope your sweetie gets over the strep (YUCK!) very soon. I'll pray for God's special blessing to be upon her. {{HUGS}} Claire Redhead in FL MGB 4/10/00 Dr. Rutledge (http:/clos.net) " He who began a good work in you will be faithful to complete it until the day of Christ Jesus. Guest guest
Thank you so much for your prayers! They are much needed! I can relate to the spiking fevers. I will give her Motrin every 6 and on the 3rd in between she gets tylenol. Then about 1 hr later it is right back up. We just left the hospital AGAIN! She has not used the bathroom since yesterday and I could not get her to eat or drink. I have tried EVERYTHING!!! Finally, I called the ER and they said to try popsicles again and if in 2 hrs she has not used the bathroom to bring her in. Whelp...we just left the ER. Her fever was down but she was pale as a ghost and very dehydrated. They gave her and IV and ran it for about 1 1/2 hrs. Finally she went to the restroom and started getting some color back. She is now resting in Mommy's bed. I have to call her pediatrician first thing in the morning and take her in. Please pray that she will be ok and that my boss will be understanding. I had to call him a couple of times tonight and keep him in the loop. I am NOT leaving her with my mom when I know she is THIS sick. Please pray he will understand. Again...thanks for the prayers.
