Guest guest
A 1.02 TSH is great. I have read that most women feel badly still at TSH's of 4 and 5. I don't even know why they consider that normal. To become pregnant and sustain that pregnancy, you should be between a 1-2.
I was at 1.71 at last check in October. I actually would prefer to be down just a little bit more as I'm still cold and tired and not losing any weight yet.

janine
Guest guest
thanks for your input. I don't recall where I read the different opinions on where the numbers should be. Right now, I'm using Nioxin for my thinning hair and the weight...ha, that's a WHOLE other story that I can't get rid of!
Guest guest
Hey I know about the weight. I was up to 344 before the thyroid was discovered. I'm currently at 339 after 3.5 months of working out at least 2-4 hours a week. I did build up some muscle so I know that I did lose slightly more fat but still, it's been very slow going for me. I'm just going to keep plugging away at the exercise once the school gyms open back up again in jan.

My doctor seems to like the numbers around 1-2 and that is also what I found at about.com, they have a lot of info on thyroid problems.

Janine
Guest guest
Does anyone know of any food supplements that will help stabilize TSH levels? Since I had one side of my thyroid removed two years ago (suspicious biopsy), my numbers keep changing. They have ranged from before surgery at .7 to 1.5 after surgery, and now they have jumped to 2.8 and then recently 2.2 I test at 6 month intervals. I am not on any thyroid meds at this point. I was really hoping they would stay around 1.5 Thanks for any info! Beth
