Guest guest
Nella, I always wondered how one can tell when the butter becomes ghee (ie: the casein is 100% gone)? a H. Guest guest
hi, very simple. Put butter into any deep enough none stick pot, warm it up on the slow fire. Try not to let it boil. Keep it on the fire until all the milk particles rise up like a foam, the ghee is on the bottom. I am using bounty over the spaghetti strainer to filter the foam out. I usually strain it twice. Ghee should be clear, and golden in color. It will become solid as it cools down, keep in the refrigerator. It is delicious in everything, Hope it helps, Nella Marilyn Sawyer marilyn1972@...> wrote: I would like the recipe! cookies/ghee > hi, > I am also using ghee instead of butter. > Only I make my own out of organic butter. > It is very easy, and saves money. > Let me know if you want the recipe. > Nella > > phashmall PHashmall@...> wrote: > Ghee is a good substitute for butter.
