The Braun Hand Blender does a nice job. Sometimes we feel " over-applianced. " I

have a

food processor, a thirty year old Oster belnder and a hand blender and deciding

which to

use is so silly!

I have one of these too. A different brand, I found mine at a local drugstore

for around $8. It is indispensable for my own SCD kitchen. When I cook, I cook

multiple things at once. When my Kitchenaid is busy, it is so nice to have

something else, especially for quick stuff. It is perfect for making

squash/pumpkin soups, pureeing cauliflower, etc in just a few seconds. Clean up

is a snap.

But the best case for owning one of these gadgets, they are small, portable,

easy to travel and vacation with! I know I have a kitchenaid, a blender, a food

processor and this hand held blender, but when you cook everything from scratch,

for family and friends, especially during the holidays, it is helpful.:) It is

so easy to clean up, though, it is in and out of the drawer in a couple of

seconds. lol So easy to use to puree soup in a pot!
