Guest guest
Hi , As long as you aren't using a lot of almonds otherwise you could probably start with some. Start small and work up. But, it should be diluted since you are still in the early stages and still struggling with constipation. If you add almond flour then you should either use a different nut flour or nut milk so you don't overload on any one type of food. Example: You could make muffins etc. with pecans and nut milk with almonds or the other way around. The almond milk can be fattening. There will be more fat it you use a bit more almonds than what is called for in a recipe. Have you seen the constipation protocol at http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/knowledge_base/kb/constipatio n.htm If the link breaks you can find it at http://www.breakingtheviciouscycle.info/ under the " Knowledge Base " and go to " Constipation " The almond muffins may help get things " moving " . Guest guest
I tried some almond milk, and my son was ecstatic with it. I was wondering - does it freeze well?
Guest guest
Hi Dena, > I tried some almond milk, and my son was ecstatic with it. I was > wondering - does it freeze well? I haven't tried almond milk but other nut milks like coconut freeze well. The fat seperates so I freeze coconut milk in small usable portions in a ice cube tray (then transfer to a large freezer bag) and mix it when thawed. If you try it let us know if it works. Guest guest
I make " bananna milk " and " vanilla milk " for Cody using the homemade yogurt & lots of Sweet&Low - he loves them. I make them smoother rather then thick and he drinks them as if they are milk. Cures his craving for the old days.
