Guest guest
Hi, I'm sorry you are having troubles, and I hope you have been able to take some time to look through our website at all of the health issues that have arisen in women who have had breast implants. It's great that you found Mercola's site and Ilena's article there. Dr. Mercola understands toxicity issues very well, and that breast implants are awful for a healthy human body. 6 months is not a very long time to heal after having illness associated with breast implants. I was still feeling poisoned over 18 months past explant myself, and my true healing didn't occur for another 3 years. It took me 4 years to get rid of my horrible symptoms. Not everyone heals in the same manner or same pace, but we do know that it takes at least a year to begin feeling normal again. I definitely would not get implants again, at all. Once someone has reacted badly to implants, it is likely that they will not be able to have breast implants again without having a negative health reaction. We've heard from women who have had this bad response. I would seriously try to work with diet before undergoing a mastectomy. Fibrocystic breasts can be treated naturally through a dietary change. I used to have fibrocystic breasts, but no longer do! I attribute it to a change from an animal based diet to a plant based diet. We eat alot of salads and fish. There is indication that FBD can be associated with an imbalance of the Essential fatty acids. Evening Primrose Oil has been shown in some studies to have a positive effect upon FBD. You can do research on this and find much info related to FBD and health, if you search the ALTERNATIVE medicine sites. Iodine is also important in the health of the breast. Kelp supplements can provide iodine...I've also used Lugol's solution. Selenium is another important mineral for breast health. http://www.ithyroid.com/fibrocystic_breast_disease.htm You see, there are things you can do naturally first to see if this solves your issues and concerns. It is much cheaper, easier, and safer going the alternative route first. The measures are usually much less drastic, though they may take much longer to produce results. The results, however, are long lasting and sometimes permanent. If you want to save your breasts, these are my suggestions for further research, before considering implants after mastectomy. Best wishes! Patty > > I'm having trouble! I had my 10 year old saline implants removed 6 months ago because I read Ilena Rosenthal's article on Mercola. I thought I'd feel better but I feel the same. I never really felt that bad to begin with just some tiredness etc. I just found my third benign lump and they are recommending masectomy (leaving nipples) and saline implants again or tram because my sister had breast cancer at 40 and my breast are fibrocystic. Any insight would be great. >
