Guest guest
, I will pray for you. I can understand. Dr. Rutledge wants me to lose close to 40 pounds before he can do the procedure. So I also need suggestions on how to get this off so I can have this surgery. I am at 417 pounds and need to lose below 400. I am going to miss the caffeine and my sodas. Take Care {{{HUGS}}}} Lara

Guest guest
, Your prayer request is not selfish at all. I don't think it is ever ever wrong to pray and ask Gods help, whatever it may be, especially when it involves our health. I will be praying for you for sure. Say the scripture over and over. " I can do all things through Christ, which strengthens me " . Say it over and over until it saturates your mind and body and you shall overcome!!!!! I have used that scripture all my life and it has seen me through enormous problems. in Mo. MGB 1 10 2000

I am trying to get healthy before surgery, (even though I can't find a PCP to support me -BUT- that's a whole other story!) I know I'll eventually reap the rewards...but right now I am extremely edgy and not pleasant to be around. (My poor husband is hiding from me at this very moment.) I know this is a very christian group, and I believe in the power of prayer - and at this point I need all the help I can get! Thanks all, M. (MGB pre-op...but not for long!) >> I will sure pray for you as hard as I can. I too want , need and have to quit smoking before having this surgery to give me a better chance at surviving it. I truly, truly know how you feel and what you're going thru, so I'll pray everyday for God to give you the strength to accomplish this as it can be one of the hardest things in the world to do.!!!!!!!
