Guest guest
Hi Patty, I purchased the book "MS Solution", as well, and hope to start reading it soon. While I am just borderline hypothyroid now, sadly I've seen some things changing with my metabolism and weight, the pounds starting to creep up on me, whereas previously I was very blessed to not have to watch weight. I don't want to push a particular type of exercise, anything beats doing nothing, but I've been trying T-Tapp for about a month now. I've lost an inch in my waist and 2 inches in my hips in the first couple of weeks. Curiously, I've had a reduction in facial numbness, not sure if it's related. I was intrigued to find that Shomon is doing it as well. The exercises are low impact and involve spinal alignment, nerve stimulation, lymphatic pumping movements, some martial art/pilates type movements. It may be a helpful exercise for women with thyroid and lymphatic issues. The tapes can be expensive, and I've seen them on sale on Ebay. <<<<< http://www.thyroid-info.com/dietnews/june2009.htm NOTE FROM MARY: JOIN ME AT THE 2009 T-TAPP RETREAT: OCTOBER 1-4, 2009Some of you know that I am a tremendous fan of a wonderful exercise program, known as "T-Tapp." When I started doing the T-Tapp program myself, I was able to lose more than 10 inches in just a few weeks! Since then, I've been recommending T-Tapp. It's an amazingly effective workout, and even if you're overweight, creaky, or out of shape, there's a version of T-Tapp you can do! A great introduction to T-Tapp is 's bestselling book/DVD, Fit and Fabulous in 15 Minutes. T-Tapp is also featured prominently in my new book, Menopause Thyroid Solution. You can find out more online. I was thrilled when T-Tapp founder Tapp asked me to be the keynote speaker for the upcoming T-Tapp Retreat, which will be held at the Safety Harbor Resort & Spa, in beautiful Safety Harbor, Florida (near Tampa), from Thursday, October 1st through Sunday, October 4th. The retreat will be led by herself! The focus of this year's retreat is the "Power of Mindful Movement for Better Brain and Body Function," including menopause management. will teach how to implement the primary principles of T-Tapp and muscle activation techniques into daily activity to optimize metabolic function and how to apply T-Tapp techniques to improve effectiveness of traditional exercise training and how to increase the intensity of any T-Tapp workout without increasing reps or sets. (And if you participate in the various T-Tapp workouts, the average inch loss during the retreat is 8 inches! Imagine a vacation where you go home more slender than when you arrived!) I'll be there the whole weekend, and we'll have a lot of time to mix and mingle and talk thyroid, hormones and perimenopause/menopause. I really look forward to meeting many of you at this fantastic retreat!
Guest guest
Hi Beth, Thanks for that recommendation on the T-Tapping~ I watched the video and I'm pretty amazed at all the positive testimonies, including yours. I bought her book, so I can't wait to read it and find out more about this exercise solution. It sounds great. Thanks Beth! I'm excited to hear that you've experienced a reduction in facial numbness as well...that is fantastic. I hope it is permanent!
