Mimi,

I know that private consultants for SCD here on Pecanbread have to have

qualifications and

thorough knowledge of SCD before they are reccomended to members.

Digestive Wellness has now placed a link for SCD Buddies on their site. How have

these

people been qualified? It is my suggestion that until more is known, members

rely on the

Pecanbread counselors for information.

Hi Everone,

I have had many conversations with Elaine and other SCD leaders

regarding Digestive Wellness. No one ever mentioned a problem with

hidden ingredients. Rochel W was trained by Elaine on how to check

for the purity of all the ingredients that she uses and she is very

meticulous about avoiding hidden ingredients.

I want to clarify what all the controversies were about.

1)Elaine and Rochel had a difference of opinion regarding one food

product and certain supplements. These products were clearly

labeled. None of these products are on the website now.

2)There was a tremendous uproar when the " Story of Elaine " first

appeared on the Digestive Wellness site. It was regarded as a

travesty and Digestive Wellness took it down as soon as they could

to avoid further fighting.

Fortunately,I copied it just before it was taken down and I used it

as part of our " welcome to the list " emails. The " Story of Elaine "

is now on Pecanbread and on Elaine's official website,so you can

enjoy reading it.

Rochel has told me many times that she wants parents to learn to

bake and that her baked products are for supporting the beginners.

During our early years,Rochel would welcome parents who came to her

home and show them baking techiques. I got very wonderful reports

from the grateful parents. These days,DW is no longer run from a

home.

Today, many new autism therapies recommend cooking with children as

an ideal therapy. I think that SCD nut muffins as the ideal recipe.

The nut flour is so tasty that it is impossible to ruin the recipe.

Don't miss out on the wonderful experience of SCD baking with

children!

All the best,Mimi
