The sulfur in it (and in DMSA) isn't interconvertible with the other kinds of sulfur in the body. MSM, DMSO, glutathione, cysteine, cystine, and the sulfur in " sulfur foods " are all interconvertible and all must be avoided if " sulfur " is a problem as indicated by elevated plasma cysteine or by dietary experiment. Any or all of these can be fed to people with low plasma cysteine, or who do well on a high sulfur diet, but sulfate and epsom salt baths won't help those who need more sulfur.
