Hi all,

Just wanted to put out the following: I have had delayed ELISA food testing (for

delayed food allergies) done twice. Both times only two things came up. The

first time was eggs and kiwi. The second time was eggs and garlic. Initially I

was kind of disappointed that so few things came up. The eggs did come up very

strongly problematic in the test.

Well anyway, I rarely eat eggs, but I have noted that occasionally when I do my

vision seems more " off " than usual. Well anyway, I had sort of forgotten all

about that and today I ate eggs in the morning (for the first time in months)

and my vision is really " off " today. I hadn't even connected it to the eggs at

first, but then I noted how bad my vision seemed today and started thinking back

about my breakfast -- and then thought back about how a few months ago when I

ate eggs the same thing happened.

OK, so long story short now, I personally do recommend ELISA testing for anyone

considering it and/or the food elimination diet....

I am also curious about another food allergy test called ALCAT. Some say it is

even better than ELISA...Does anyone know about it?

Regards,

Hi ,

I never heard of that other test...I had ELISA, and recently when I saw an

immunologist about my scorpion sting, and mentioned my prior allergy tests for

certain foods he really discredited those tests. (No surprise there! He's an MD

Of course, with no respect for the alternative docs.)

Just wanted to mention that eggs are high in sulfur...I'll be posting some info

about sulfur foods and the detox pathways. Some people don't do well with

sulfur foods. I'll find that info.
