Guest guest
I want to share what’s going on with me . . . I recently found out I still have cancer in my ear (Temporal bone, Squamous cell) . . . Despite two surgeries and seven weeks of radiation, cancer has invaded the nerve that governs the muscles to my face on one side, giving me the look of someone with Bell’s Palsy. . . I remember my mother telling me not to make those ugly faces, it might stick. . . It looks like Mom was right! I'm doing chemo therapy now. . . First three sessions, then a repeat in three weeks. Then they will do a scan to see if the chemo is having the desired effect before determining if we’ll continue on the same chemo program or try another. The good news is that the PET scan found cancer no where else, and that, if my face doesn’t get better on its own, they can do some Cut and Paste if/when this monster is in remission. In the meantime, I’m getting through this with the support of my family and friends. Manny has been incredible. . . You really find out what a man is made of when it comes down to something like this! He’s my hero! Visiting with family and friends is especially meaningful these days . . . So, if you’d like to chat, give me a call (I can call you back on my nickel). 501 915-8388. Please include me in your prayers,Love,Rogene
