Lilly,I"m sorry to hear of what you are going through. It's a type of storywe've heard over and over and over on our group. With implants, thedoctors are not generally willing to find them as the cause. There issimply too much at stake politically for implants to be found the causeof any of these mysterious illnesses we show up with. So, of course, your implanting surgeon is going to assure you that it is not theimplants making you ill. Mine did too. The doctor and nurse both wentout of their way to assure me that I had the "safest implant on themarket."None of their assurances mattered, or were accurate. The truth was thatthe implants were harming me and my best course of action was to havethem removed. After removing them properly by a different plasticsurgeon, my healing occurred over a period of time, and I live WELLagain. If I had listened to my implanting surgeon, and kept the

implants whilelooking for a different explanation for my health demise, I shudder tothink where I would be right now. I know, because of the hundreds, ifnot thousands of letters I have read from women over the past 11 years. My opinion, based on what I know to occur when women have implants andstart showing signs of illness like yours, is that the implants need tobe removed and you need to take steps to allow your body to recoverhealth. These steps would include detoxing, hormonal support (such asthyroid, adrenal and reproductive hormones), and nutritional support. The body does have the capacity to recover, but it's hard to know whatpuzzle pieces need to be put in place when the doctors are telling youthat you are healthy! That is the reason that this support groupexists. We have taken steps to find the answers on our own whendoctors are clueless.Implants can affect the immune system. It

has been fighting thepresence of a foreign object in your body 24/7 for as many years as youhave had the implants. It can go into hyper mode and start attackingthe body (autoimmunity) , and it can show signs of fatigue by beingunable to fight viruses, bacteria and fungus present, creating an extraburden on the body. One of the first steps needed in getting better isto eradicate any possible bacterial, fungal, or viral overloads, as wellas possible parasites.I disagree with your doctor about there being a reaction in the breasttoo....if it is subclinical, the symptoms can be anywhere in the body. I know this based on personal experience.I would suggest calling another expert plastic surgeon who understandsfully the difficulties encountered when women become ill from implants. There are two in the East that are very qualified, and you can evencontact them both to get more information on which

to base yourdecision. More information is always good.Dr. Lu Feng, Cleveland OH http://www.drfeng. com/Dr. Kolb, Atlanta, GA http://www.plastiko s.com/Dr. Kolb is always quick to answer her emails. Dr. Feng's office willhelp you by phone.Keep us posted. WE know how difficult this situation is, and we're hereif you need us.Patty>> Hi Lea... thank you for contacting me. I live in New York. Today Icontacted my surgeon who had placed my implants in 7 years ago. Sheassured me that it wasn't

my implants that are causing these lymph nodesto become swollen and painful; she said that it just happens. Iexplained that I had just had surgery and I'm pretty sure my armpitshouldn't hurt like this all the time. I asked her if there may be aleak or mold and she responded that I would have a reaction in my breasttoo. I have an appointment with her next week.> I'm praying that this is not the implants. I do not know anotherwoman who has breast implants. I have read some of the stories sent tomy email and I cannot believe all the pain people have gone through; myheart goes out to all... the stories definitely worry me... thank youfor your support..>> From,> Lilly>>>>> ____________ _________ _________ __> From: Lea leamary@...> > Sent: Monday, August 31, 2009 10:10:49 AM> Subject: Re: Can anyone help me?...Yes:>>> My Dear Friend:>> I am so sorry that you did not do some research before you had theimplants implanted into your body. Many of us have made the samemistake, because we trust our doctors. Withindays I was on the operating table having this mass removed. Thank God itwasn't cancer; just a solid mass. Due to this surgery, my breasts wereawkwardly uneven (due to the removal of the mass and the healthy tissuearound the mass). Two years later I was on the operating table againthis time getting saline breast implants

placed in my body. That was sixyears ago... I am now 27 years old and within the last year my healthhas decreased immensely. I first noticed my left armpit hurting. Iconfided in coworkers and friends and most thought it may be a blockage,a cyst or my deodorant. I switched my deodorant and waited. I thennoticed that my armpit would hurt much much more and within a day or twoI would end up sick; one time with a cold the next time with the flu. Assoon as I became ill each time my armpit pain would ease a bit. I now amgetting sick more often. One day I was> feeling my armpit to check for lumps etc and I found a big lump thatmoved with my fingers. Countless doctors (infectious disease) and bloodtests later, they could not find the cause ("you are one healthy woman"one doctor said)... meanwhile I felt tired all the time, my hair wasfalling out and my gums now had some sort of gingivitis (I never had

anyof these issues before?). Finally following bacterial infections andcancer ruled out along with the rheumatoid diseases, a breast surgeon (3months ago) removed two of my axillary lymph nodes (in my left armpit). He removed them because they were increasing in size. The surgeon saidone was tinted blue? I do have a small tattoo right above my left breast(done at 18 years old) which he said was possibly the cause of the lymphnode being blue but never gave me a definitive answer... my surgeon saidhe couldn't find anything wrong; the nodes were just "infected".. . Ithought "Good... it s finally all> over." I was wrong, it's three months later and it just started allover again... one week ago i started having the same pain in the sameexact place.. I can now feel a node that is getting bigger over theweek. I am tired all the time again... I'm scared... I'm just startingmy career and am taking off

many times a month to make doctorappointments and sonograms, a surgery etc. I called my surgeon again andwas told to go for another sonogram... Can anyone help me? No one seemsto know what could be going on in my body? Please help....> >> >>
