I find them in nosocomial infections (hospital acquired) and in immuno-compromised patients. We notice a grape-scent / odor from infected patients (other than lab findings). From: Ilena Rose <ilena.rose@...>Subject: [breastImplantSurvivorNetwork] A question for the group....Date: Sunday, September 6, 2009, 10:22 PM

Hi, All....

I'm wondering if anyone has ever contracted a bacterial infection called Pseudomonas. ..? If so, what was the result. Although, if you write back, I'm thinking the result was probably okay!

Love you, Ilena.....

Thanks so much!

Yes, I have. I had debilitating pain from the onset of a BA/BL and finally,

after 2 revisions, I asked to have the implants removed. At the time of

removal, pseudomonas was detected and I was prescribed oral cipro. Without going

into extreme detail, it never went away and eventually turned into osteomyletis

requiring extensive surgery and removal of 2 ribs! It was a nightmare.

Yikes, that is terrible!

I have heard several nasty things about Cipro....

Be careful with that one.
