She did not recognize them. She said " I don't think I know you, but you must be hungry. Please come in and have something to eat. " " Is the man of the house home? " , they asked. " No " , she replied. " He's out. " " Then we cannot come in " , they replied. In the evening when her husband came home, she told him what had happened. " Go tell them I am home and invite them in! " The woman went out and invited the men in " " We do not go into a House together, " they replied. " Why is that? " she asked. One of the old men explained: " His name is Wealth, " he said pointing to one of his friends, and said pointing to another one, " He is Success, and I am Love. " Then he added, " Now go in and discuss with your husband which one of us you want in your home. " The woman went in and told her husband what was said. Her husband was overjoyed. " How nice!! " , he said. " Since that is the case, let us invite Wealth. Let him come and fill our home with wealth! " His wife disagreed. " My dear, why don't we invite Success? " Their daughter-in-law was listening from the other corner of the house. She jumped in with her own suggestion: " Would it not be better to invite Love? Our home will then be filled with love! " " Let us heed our daughter-in-law's advice, " said the husband to his wife. " Go out and invite Love to be our guest. " The woman went out and asked the 3 old men, " Which one of you is Love? Please come in and be our guest. " Love got up and started walking toward the house. The other 2 also got up and followed him. Surprised, the lady asked Wealth and Success: " I only invited Love, Why are you coming in? " The old men replied together: " If you had invited Wealth or Success, the other two of us would've stayed out, but since you invited Love, wherever He goes, we go with him. Wherever there is Love, there is also Wealth and Success!!!!!! " MY WISH FOR YOU... -Where there is pain, I wish you peace and mercy. -Where there is self-doubting, I wish you a renewed confidence in your ability to work through it. -Where there is tiredness, or exhaustion, I wish you understanding, patience, and renewed strength. -Where there is fear, I wish you love, and courage. You have two choices right now: 1. Click this off 2. Invite love by sharing this story with all the people you care about. I hope you will choose #2. I did. Guest guest
Sometimes and this has been documented as being so by the many single org's out there, the best places to meet a mate are in those places where you are just you, (for example: umembellished, not dressed your best with the 'hope' of finding someone). Those places are: The laundrymat to which I can testify as being a great source of meeting some very interesting people (haha), The grocery store, the library and other places where you are just being you doing ordinary things; not at a niteclub with ten thousand pounds of makeup, again hoping to meet someone who is likewise dressed to the nines. Take the nines away, rely on nothing else (be it yer dress, yer makeup, yer wallet), but on yer personality, humor, intelligence and warmth of character and you should do fine:). luv, grady;) PS-Also to the one who was sorry and apologized for looking for love, don't, ok. Never feel as though you have to apologize looking for love, that's beautiful. I mean, to apologize for starting a fight is one thing but love or the looking for it never needs one:). > i know what it was like looking for love. i found mine in a suppermarket where i was working as auditor in the pricing dept .keep looking it is out there somewhere where you least expct it . i wated over 30yrs for it but it will find you ...... Guest guest
Actually Grady, it's the grocery store on a Friday night. I've met some fabulous people there. Especially in the pet food aisle. Guest guest
SCROLL DOWN........ Slow down for three minutes to read this. A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, " What does love mean? " The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think: " When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love. " - age 8 " When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You just know that your name is safe in their mouth. " - age 4 " Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other. " Karl - age 5 " Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs. " Chrissy - age 6 " Love is what makes you smile when you're tired. " Terri - age 4 " Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK. " Danny - age 7 " Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss " - age 8 " Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen. " Bobby - age 7 (Wow!) " If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate, " Nikka - age 6 (we need a few million more Nikka's on this planet) " Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday. " Noelle - age 7 " Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well. " Tommy - age 6 " During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore. " - age 8 " My mommy loves me more than anybody . You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night. " Clare - age 6 " Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken. " Elaine-age 5 " Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Brad Pitt. " - age 7 " Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day. " Ann - age 4 " I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones. " - age 4 " When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you. " (what an image) - age 7 " You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget. " - age 8 And the final one -- Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, " Nothing, I just helped him cry " When there is nothing left but God, that is when you find out that God is all you need. Take 60 seconds and give this a shot! All you do is simply say the following small prayer for the person who sent you this. Father, God bless all my friends in whatever it is that You know they may be needing this day! And may their life be full of your peace, prosperity and power as he/she seeks to have a closer relationship with you. Amen. Then send it on to five other people, including the one who sent it to you. Within hours you caused a multitude of people to pray for other people. Then sit back and watch the power of God work in your life. P. S. Five is good, but more is better.

Guest guest
And it DID do alot for me AND my family. I read it at my Grandmother's house last night to everyone (cried again as I read it...especially that last one with the little boy helping the old man cry) and they made me print up a bunch of them for their friends. I say we people with depression need to try to focus on the positive things as much as possible too. Thanks, Lynne.
