Guest guest
, all of your symptoms are the same as all of us that have implant induced illness....... If your breasts hurt, then surgery to explore and remove causing factors should be covered, weather it be lumps and bumps or foreigh objects ( implants ) . Guest guest
~ Have you had an MRI ? the feeling of pain and fluid build-up could be a seroma or hematoma..... If you go in with your symptoms and dont discuss the implants, insurance should cover it...besides you wouldnt be going for the implants, but for the pain and feeling of a lump or fullness you are having. Guest guest
Sorry about the double post of my original message. I have not had an MRI. I do wish I could 'see' inside to know what was happening. I do have a lot of painful/tender spots all over my body, but there are more to sides and above implants. Aetna is our insurance. Since they declined the first chance at pre-approval (with mention of implants), do you think there is a fair chance to reposition the surgery so that it is covered? Thank you! > > ~ > Have you had an MRI ? the feeling of pain and > fluid build-up could be a seroma or hematoma..... > If you go in with your symptoms and dont discuss > the implants, insurance should cover it...besides > you wouldnt be going for the implants, but for the > pain and feeling of a lump or fullness you are having. > Hugs > Dede
Guest guest
Hi , I too had all of your symptoms to a T. Please don't wait. I made the mistake of waiting until I was so ill that it's been a difficult recovery. However, I don't regret explanting for one second. It's the only thing that will give your body a chance to heal. Dr. Kolb was my explanting surgeon and she was able to talk to the insurance company and get everything covered except $800. The rest of the $11,000 procedure was paid for. Even if you don't choose her, I know she's very willing to talk with women who are ill and answer any questions free of charge. Best of luck to you and if you have any more questions, ask away. ~PH > > > > ~ > > Have you had an MRI ? the feeling of pain and > > fluid build-up could be a seroma or hematoma..... > > If you go in with your symptoms and dont discuss > > the implants, insurance should cover it...besides > > you wouldnt be going for the implants, but for the > > pain and feeling of a lump or fullness you are having. > > Hugs > > Dede >
Guest guest
My Dear : I am sorry that you have become sick from your implants. Your symptoms are the same as many women in our group, including me. Breast implants are not safe, and we hope that you will be able to have them removed soon. Honey, just stay close to us, and we will try to help you to get through this. Please make sure that you have a good surgeon to remove them. Sending love and support....Lea ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~` Help please. I can't decide if I should explant. I haven't posted in quite a while. I'm having a very hard time deciding if I should explant the saline implants I regrettably placed 5 years ago. Unfortunately, my insurance will not cover. The main reason I can't decide is that I have so much going on, and I don't know what might be causing what. So, I'm not sure if the implants are a root cause or not much of a factor. The only symptom I have that is closely associated with the implants are tender lymph nodes/areas on the sides of my chest. And, I am having some mild pains on my left side, and I'm not really sure if it is pain stemming from the underside of my left implant or pain related to my heart or something else (e.g. reflux). This pain scares me a little as it's more prominent at night, and sometimes it causes pain to move from one position to another (I feel a bit like some sort of fluid is building up). Here's my myriad of issues: Hashimoto's thyroiditis Extremely high mercury levels Frequent problems with Candida Lots of digestive trouble - constipation, malabsorptionPossible/probably Celiac/gluten intoleranceAdrenal fatigue RefluxSome days I feel perfectly fine. Other days I feel terrible and am frantically trying to determine what I might do to get better so I can watch my little kids grow up. Please let me know what you think. For those of you that may have had similar issues and explanted, I'd love to know if things improved. I know the surgery will be a little tough and may especially draining for my adrenals. And, it costs a good bit of money (and time). I don't want to do it unless there's a good chance it will help me with my probelms. Thanks!!!
