Check out Solaray or Solgar brands of magnesium. They both have different forms

of amino acid chelates. Taking calcium, magnesium, etc. is not just taking

calcium and magnesium. They are made in different ways, coming form different

sources. Alot more information on this subject can be found on 's site.

Calcium is a tricky issue. Can't get absorbed without magnesium and other

specific nutrients in ratio, magnesium cannot be absorbed and utilized properly

without manganese, etc. Also magnesium citrate is a different form than

glycinate. Often calcium deficiencies, or the inability to utilize it properly

has more to do with inadequate amounts of other minerals. You may find making

bone soups adds a good amount of bone minerals into your daughters diet, without

the yeast worries. There is nothing wrong perse with citrate forms within

themselves, but it seems some types of yeast eat them up readily, preventing the

host from utilizing the supplements optimally as well. Read up some on 's

compendium, try a few different kinds of supplements until you find something

that works well. Also, a hair test from time to time to see what effect calcium

supplementation has on calcium levels. Good luck in your exploration!

Hi Gertrude,

The magnesium glycinate is for constipation, what else can I use?

The other forms of calcium (carbonate) cause constipation and my

daughter needs the calcium. I appreciate any suggestions,
