Guest guest
Hi all, I'm about 4 months post-explant with Dr. Kolb -- and now have a rash spreading over my body, with little red dots. And my skin is itchy and dry. Is this common after explant, and is it something to worry about? I'm on anti-fungals still, and am following the Yeast Connection diet. Am wondering if any of you had this, and if it went away on it's own? Thought it may be anti-biotics detoxing out of my body -- was on them for 3.5 months. Thanks for any info - Alyssa
Guest guest
Hi Alyssa, I had the little red dots all over my legs right after implantation. I had no idea what it was at the time, and eventually they went away and life went on...until my health took the nosedive and I crashed big time with autoimmunity. I found out after doing research on all my symptoms that those little red dots were called " purpura " , or " petechiae " and they can be associated with autoimmunity, and are a sign of vascular disease. I found later also that implants can cause " collagen vascular disease " . Here is a picture and article on this condition. http://www.tiscali.co.uk/lifestyle/healthfitness/health_advice/netdoctor\ /archive/001617.html You may or may not have this going on...it could be something entirely different. It's really hard to say without seeing it. Itching skin can be associated with liver issues. I would just suggest that you have it checked out by a doctor locally, but do some research on the net also to help them give a direction. Perhaps Dr. Kolb can also give some insight. Let us know what you find out. Take care, Patty > > Hi all, > I'm about 4 months post-explant with Dr. Kolb -- and now have a rash spreading over my body, with little red dots. Guest guest
Thank you for the info - I went to the dr, and learned that it's maybe/probably related to detoxing and the liver. Seems to already be getting slightly better. Also, it seems that showering without a chlorine filter probably made it worse, or aggravated the situation. (My filters are on the way, but I ordered late this time!) Thank you for the response - it had me a little concerned. I feel much better now. Warmly, Alyssa
