Thank you Cosima and Group ... it was indeed touching to receive so many good messages and support. 

Some time ago, from one of our group members, I learned that DMSO had been FDA approved against IC ... and here is a link:

DMSO, like homeopathy, chiropractic, naturopathy, detoxification, and other non-pharmaceutical modalities, has mighty opponents ... and the same proponents of breast implants and mandatory vaccinations tried to dissuade it's use. 

I'm very interested in any others of you who have experiences with relieving the pain of IC.

have a request from a student who got her implants in 2004. Rheumatic and cfs

symptoms started only one year after implantation. In addition she shows a

positive testing for antibodies to dsDNA. Now she is asking whether

interstitial cystitis and bladder problems can be related to her silicone

breast implants. Since 2008 she is suffering from heavy chronic symptoms.

Ilena,

I hope there is time for one more response...

I also suffered from IC right after I had my implants and got sick. I

have not had an IC attack in years now, though

I had about 3 instances that sent me to the Emergency room very close

together in the years that I was healing.

I have been better and feeling well for about 7 years now...no more

bladder issues.

I do several things, such as eating raw garlic and taking herbs that

support the urinary system, such as dandelion root, marshmallow root,

oil of oregano, uva ursi. I have used the unsweetened cranberry juice

as well, but that is sometimes hard to get down! I have also just taken

a gallon of water with me to the bathroom, a good book and just sat on

the toilet and let the urine flow as often as it wanted to. This cleans

out the bladder.

But there is one more supplement that has worked for many to keep IC in

check, and that is

D-Mannose.

If you do an internet search for D-Mannose and Urinary tract infections,

you will find lots of sites with info.
