Guest guest
I would definitely move her out for a few days. Another option is to rent an ozonater. We did this when we moved into our new house 3 years ago. It got rid of all the new paint/carpet and other smells. n a message dated 3/7/2001 9:35:56 PM Eastern Standard Time, tntpilger@... writes: << Sorry about that... > Anyway. we just had 2 ceilings painted today and I'm wondering if I should take Gillian to my moms and sleep. Guest guest
Yes, I would. I do not believe these kids detox well at all and limiting them to any exposure of chemicals wherever possible is the way to go, paint fumes > Sorry about that... > Anyway. we just had 2 ceilings painted today and I'm wondering if I should take Gillian to my moms and sleep. Guest guest
Caroline's dad, My daughter hasn't experienced any problems and I also have painted over the past 12 months about 7 rooms so far. But I always get a head cold type thing a few days later. I think its something in the paint. Paint fumes > Has anyone noticed any detrimental effects from exposure to paint > fumes? Guest guest
I know a young boy who died within days of being exposed to paint fumes had to be put on donor list and died shortly after ! His doc said inhaling those fumes at close range was like putting a bomb inside his lungs ! I don't even use clorox in my house if my 8yrs old is around. Be careful nothing like that can be good for your childs lungs.

Guest guest
Carolines Dad, I haven't noticed any adverse effects from painting with my daughter 5wcf, although it makes me sneeze and I feel like I'm getting a cold, but it never eventuates into anything. I have some allergies - so perhaps that's it. Grass and newspapers etc always make me feel a little sneezy. Water based paints are quite mild smelling & I'm not sure but I don't imagine that they would cause too many problems.
