Hi Carol,

I'd like to clarify three points you brought up:

> 3. I can start giving my child yogurt right away.

> False, Yogurt and other legal dairy should be introduced later and

very

> gradually.

This is not quite right. Yogurt can be started at the beginning of

the diet but some people aren't ready or may be allergic to dairy.

As per BTVC, yogurt is part of the intro diet (baked into the

cheesecake). The majority of people on this list do wait a while to

start yogurt and we do encourage those who haven't had dairy and/or

probiotics in a while to gradually ramp up to reduce die off

symptoms. But, some do start yogurt right from the beginning with

great success.

The yogurt can be made with cow or nut milk also.

beginning.

It depends on the child and the state of their gut. Some kids are

okay with some raw fruit and veggies at the beginning. Taking out

SCD illegals is the most important and once they are removed it is

easier to see what foods the children are able to tolerate, peeled,

cooked raw etc.

On page 71 of BTVC edition 10 Elaine says there is no schedule for intoducing

foods with

the exception of yogurt. So that's where I got my answer.
