I was a lurker on this group a few months ago, but I left when I did

some housekeeping on my yahoo groups (just had too many). But, I'm

wanting to get a yogurt maker for Christmas, and I thought I'd post

my question here.

Thanks!

I want to get a yogurt maker, and I have been planning on getting a

Yogourmet. But, I've since found a few others I want to consider. I

found a really great chart that compares the

different kinds of makers

on_Chart.htm) but I'm hoping to hear from people who have actually

used them if they had problems or things they really liked (i.e. I

thought I'd really like this aspect of it, but I later found out it

was more trouble then it was worth ~or~ I didn't expect ___THIS

FEATURE___ but I love it!, etc.).

The yougurt makers I'm trying to decide between (with some thoughts):

Yogourmet:

http://www.lucyskitchen.com/yogourmet.html (This is the one I was

wanting to buy, but it's also the most expensive of all of the

choices. If another one is just as good and cheaper, I'd rather go

w/ the more economical one).

Donvier

http://www.donvier.com/donvier/products/yogurt.html (This one, and

the next one, I am considering b/c of the individual

containers...does that make it easier for storage? Is it a lot more

work then to make the yogurt since I'd be making lots of little

batches?)

Euro Cuisine

http://www.healthgoods.com/Shopping/Appliances/Yogurt_Makers.asp#Euro

Salton (This one, like the last one, has the individual containers.

The containers are glass, however, but this one also has a three

year warranty, where the others only have one year warranties)

http://www.healthgoods.com/Shopping/Appliances/Yogurt_Makers.asp#Salt

on (The main reason I'd consider this one above the others is

because it's cheaper. It's also smaller, but I would want to know

if it I'm sacrificing good quality because of the price too).

Also, has anyone used these products and if so, what's your opinions:

Ice Cream maker

http://www.donvier.com/donvier/products/icecream.html

Yogurt CHEESE maker:

http://www.donvier.com/donvier/products/yogurt_cheeseMaker.html

(I've made cheese using the drip-bags before, I'm wondering if

anyone can tell me if this is more user-friendly and worth the

money).

Oh, BTW, I plan to use fresh goat milk (if that makes a difference

in which yogurt maker to get). Thanks in advance for any help! You

can email me privately if you want a4givensinner@...
