OK, I have a question. I submitted my PI stuff to Dr. R's office last Wed

afternoon (late). I have not received a letter from Debbie as to what or

when something went to the ins. co. When should I call Debbie to find out if

she sent something to my ins. co. I know she is busy and I don't want to bug

her nor do I want to wait for no good reason. How long is reasonable?

downloaded to his home computer and he does the letter to the insurance

company. When he completes the letters he takes them to the hospital with

him and someone from the office goes to the hospital to pick them up and

send them out with cover letters. They also notify us. Well, mine is not

showing up just yet so hopefully Debbie will find out something tomorrow and

let me know. Keep your fingers crossed.

Marie,

YIKES, is right. You have scared me. I sent my PI over last Monday

and received my copy of the letter to the insurance company today. I was

planning to wait for an answer. Now you have given me something to do

tomorrow. I appreciate this heads up. I am anxiously awaiting a response

and would be disappointed to find out the insurance company doesn't know

anything about it. Thanks sooo much.

Hi Marie,

Amen!! I too am from Virginia with the same insurance. I waited a week

being nice, and when I called my insurance provider, they said that they

didn't have the letter from Dr. R's office. I called Debbie to tell her she

had the wrong fax number and she assured me she would refax. BCBS told me

to make sure I called back the next day. Well, I called back the next day

and the next 2 days after that. Finally, I called on Friday back to Dr. R's

office and Barbara said that my info had been mailed to BCBS of North

Carolina. My insurance said BIG MISTAKE !!!!! So, in the end I ended

up faxing all 14 pages of Dr. R's letter myself. I would think Dr. R's

office would know this stuff. I know they are overloaded, but I am sure

they probably would benefit from doing some major hiring. Not to be ugly,

because that is not my nature. I just want to be on the other side of this

surgery so badly that I get impatient. This glitch held up my insurance

answer by at least a week, and I really want to get this done. I gave up my

entire spring break (I teach) to complete my bloodwork, EKG, and other stuff

and made sure everything was fed-exed, and now its hurry up and wait. I

guess I'm so diligent that I expect everyone to be. Just me I guess. BTW,

where in VA do you live?

Dear land Liz,

Next we need to count the s. I'll bet we have you beat.

I sent my PI in on tuesday night May 2nd. Debbie is supposed to call me tomorrow

to let me know if she found it. Someone posted that they sent theirs in on

monday

and received their letter today. I expect to get my letter tomorrow if all goes

well. If not maybe Debbie can shed some light on where my letter is. I e-mailed

Dr. R last thursday but I never received a reply. That doesn't surprise me if he

is having computer problems.

I'm so anxious that I can't hardly stand it. I will have my packet ready for the

mail tomorrow. Hang in there.

Bye,

Genz

You would probably get a better response if you emailed Debbie and asked.

That is something she can check when she has time and is not considered an

interruption.

Hello Marie,

I wrote you on Sun. I think, and told you I also lived in VA and have

the same ins. co. you have. I called yesterday after I had to fax my info.

to the BCBS of VA office, and got my approval yesterday. I'm hoping to get

a date today. Keep your fingers crossed for me. I'll keep mine crossed for

you. I'm hoping to get a date before DR. R. goes on vacation, because I

teach and my first 2 weeks of summer are planned out by the school. So, I

won't feel too bad about taking the last week or so off from school for

recuperation. Good luck!!!
